Pilates has always been about movement. The question has never been who can practice it, but who has been invited to see themselves within it.

Culture shapes participation. The images we circulate, the people we celebrate, the studios we build, and the stories we tell all influence who feels welcome before they ever step through the door. Representation is not simply about visibility. It shapes access, belonging, and ultimately the future of an industry.

The story of Pilates is still being written. Every studio that broadens representation, every instructor who creates belonging, and every community that challenges old assumptions contributes to a practice that is richer, stronger, and more reflective of the people it serves.

A very very special thank you to @traphausfit and @weezywtf for being part of this story and for helping redefine who feels represented, welcomed, and at home in boutique fitness. Your leadership is helping shape a more inclusive future for Pilates. Here’s to the people expanding the story, one studio, one class, and one community at a time. 🤍

New York City has become the epicenter of boutique fitness- a space shaped by women, for women.

The rise of boutique studios marked the first time workout spaces were intentionally designed with the female experience in mind. Aesthetic interiors, thoughtful lighting, and a sense of community replaced the utilitarian, male-dominated gym culture that long defined fitness.

SYNC’D is spotlighting the founders behind the movement: the women who saw a gap and built something entirely new. From studios that sparked waitlists overnight to instructors who became the reason you kept coming back, these founders didn’t just create workouts, they built cultures, communities, and entirely new categories of fitness. Their studios became more than places to exercise; they became spaces where routines formed, friendships started, and a new generation of movement culture took shape. These are the women behind some of the workouts that define boutique fitness in New York City. 🤍

It felt really good to know the three of us are nominees of @theccnyc.

This recognition not only honors us as leaders but as entrprenuers. Just 1 year later we have expanded and it’s a clear testimony to how major TRAPHAUS has become.

I’m so grateful for my business partners, all three of us are both so important to every single piece of @traphausfit you all get to experience. From the scent , the vibe, the music, the culture, all of it we worked so hard to curate more than just some cool TikTok you saw… but a REAL place to strengthen your body.
