A family of teachers hosting a fashion show with no budget is way cooler than the MET Gala. Though, in truth, I can’t take much credit for this particular idea outside of the fashion itself. The concept came from my dad and teaching mentor, @thatvansteacher who has a knack for making teaching fun. This is the eighth year he’s hosted a fourth grade fashion show and the first year he’s taken the idea grade wide. I think he’s got some Caesar Flickerman flare if I do say so myself. Dressed as my other, and better half in this video, is my sister who goes by @thoughtswithtots over on TikTok, so if you aren’t following her, please do! Let me know in the comments if you wish you’d had this sort of assembly in school⬇️

Some fun snapshots of the recent old age makeup I did on my old man!🥰 Pretty proud of how well this turned out given the tight application schedule.

Never a dull moment when I have the opportunity to make my dad over into a cooky character. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift than the opportunity to help him pull a prank on his fourth grade students!🥰

I turned my dad @thatvansteacher into the mean green, Christmas-hating machine himself (with a Summer Tiki twist) yesterday for Father’s Day! What’s wrong with a little Christmas in summer? Absolutely nothing, that’s what!💚🎄

It’s been 1 year since I moved to LA and I couldn’t be more proud of all I have achieved! I graduated from MUD, adopted my two darling kitties, applied makeup for LA fashion week, assisted @shelbymichael_mua at Monsterpalooza, did makeup for a whole slew of shorts, photoshoots, and music videos with more wonderful artists than I can count. Got hired on to my first feature, worked as a scare actor at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, started putting myself out there for acting and modeling. I received an offer of publication on my poetry collection and went through the publishing process for the first time. And I made so many lifelong friends along the way!🥰 The first step is always the most frightening. But I can assure you, good things are in store if you’re brave enough to take it.

A year spent making monsters and working with a stellar group of makeup artists, models, actors, and creatives! 🥰 It’s been far from an easy ride, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come this year and can’t wait for all of the creativity and collaboration in store for 2025🎉

My favorite thing in all the world is creating! Monsters, creatures, characters, heroes, villains, and oddballs🥰 As a kid I used to sit at the kitchen table for hours and draw my own self-invented Star Wars characters from my imagination or make my own versions of book characters. Growing up I always thought I would be a traditional artist with my art in a gallery, but now I realize I much prefer to see my art on a screen.
