At LEADERS Week London, The Collective brought together over 250 women leaders from across the industry for the annual Women in Sport Breakfast, a signature gathering built around connection, perspective and the conversations moving women’s sport forward.

This year, Maya Herm was joined by THE·TEAM clients Morgan Lake (3x Olympic GB High Jumper) and Lucy Staniforth (Former England Lioness) for a candid conversation touching on their athletic accomplishments and how their contributions to women's sport encourage progress across the industry.

Seven years in, the idea remains simple: bring the right people together, create space for meaningful conversation and foster the moments that help move the industry forward.

Two conversations at the recent VenuesNow Conference in Seattle explored different sides of the live business and a shared question about what makes people want to come back.

Thayer Lavielle, Managing Director of The Collective, joined “Beyond the Ticket: Creating Live Experiences That Better Serve Women,” bringing The Collective’s research and audience insights to a conversation about how the live industry can better understand and serve women beyond the ticket purchase, including findings from HER FREQUENCY.

Also taking the stage, Sara Dean, SVP at THE·TEAM Music, joined “Make Your Building A Must-Play,” bringing the artist and agent perspective to a discussion about what makes a venue stand out when tours are being routed.

Different sides of the live business, but a question at the center of both: how do we create experiences, venues and relationships that people want to return to?

This week we gathered a small group of people
from music, entertainment, sports, and media for a Talking Circle in Gloria Steinem’s living room where she built community for half a century. She wasn’t there but oh my, her spirit was.

The topic was how do we find achievable solutions to make life on the road more sustainable for women at the intersection of their careers and motherhood?
Better childcare. Better infrastructure. Better support systems. We generated solid ideas and I’m committed to surfacing them!! Live Nation Women exists to do this work— and I’m so proud of it.

Gloria taught us that change starts with people in a room, talking and listening and then DOING. Her real impact was building organizing infrastructures that made wins possible. We showed up to keep that going.

Deep gratitude to my partner in this work, Thayer Lavielle of The Team’s Collective; to Dyllan McGee, my Mom Bus (coming soon!!!) partner, for showing up as she always does; Amy Richards for giving us the opportunity and continuing Gloria’s legacy, and to my work wife, Naz who makes everything happen!

And of course to Gloria who remains the ultimate inspiration. ✌🏼🤍👑🚺

Live Nation Women and The Collective brought together leaders across music, sport and media for an intimate Talking Circle focused on creating greater career longevity for women and more support for families navigating careers shaped by life on the road.

The gathering held special meaning as one of the first Talking Circles in Gloria Steinem’s iconic living room following her passing. We were deeply honored to continue the thoughtful exchange of ideas, connection and movement-building she championed throughout her life.

The conversation continues and so does the work. Thank you to all who joined!

In every universe and every lifetime I would choose to be a woman. Through the lows and the highs, over decades and in the briefest moments, how lucky are we to know love like this.
