Live Nation Women and The Collective brought together leaders across music, sport and media for an intimate Talking Circle focused on creating greater career longevity for women and more support for families navigating careers shaped by life on the road.

The gathering held special meaning as one of the first Talking Circles in Gloria Steinem’s iconic living room following her passing. We were deeply honored to continue the thoughtful exchange of ideas, connection and movement-building she championed throughout her life.

The conversation continues and so does the work. Thank you to all who joined!

What does it take to build a better experience for women’s sports fans?

At The Epicenter: Women’s Global Sports Summit presented by Nike, Thayer Lavielle of @the.team.collective shared why understanding everything that goes into showing up as a fan can unlock even deeper engagement.

The opportunity? Make it easier for fans to connect with the teams, athletes and sports they already love. taken in Portland, Oregon by @thayerlavielle

After 12 years of being the goodest boy, Starsky ran over the rainbow bridge.

He was spirited, sweet, impatient, smart, and loyal.

When anyone came to the house, he demanded his own proper greeting of longtime friends or poor unsuspecting delivery people.

He loved hunting wabbits, chickens, squirrels and anything else he could get and proudly bring to us.

He loved walks, his “siblings”, squeaky toys, and barking at the neighbor’s dog like a bloodsport.

While we grieve his loss we are so happy to have had his sweet soul in our family. by @thayerlavielle

Gloria Steinem didn’t just advocate for women — she built the infrastructure that made advocacy permanent. Institutions. Pipelines. Platforms.

In 1971, Gloria Steinem co-founded Ms. magazine and the National Women’s Political Caucus in the same year - one platform to change the story, one to change who got to tell it. She was the first woman to speak at the National Press Club. She helped start the Women’s Media Center decades later, because the work of making women visible never really finishes.

She led a movement that helped women get bank accounts, credit cards, the ability to take a lease and a mortgage in our own names. We take our daughters to work because of her.

She then spent decades inviting women and men into her house in Talking Circles - encouraging us to continue to drive for more equality, more change.

As women in today’s world, we owe her an immense gratitude for the liberties we enjoy.

Her impact is profound and makes me weepy at the thought of the legacy she has left.

This year, I have been privileged to be invited into her living room for conversation. One was with Billie Jean King. Two legends. One room. What a moment.

The Collective exists because of Gloria’s work. What a privilege to continue the work in our small way. by @thayerlavielle

So incredibly proud of this work and @the.team.collective @the.team.co @the.team.music to get this out there.

Spanning 12 countries, 18 music genres and nearly 15,000 respondents, this new study looks at how women participate in live music across the full fan journey - not just as attendees, but as organizers, decision makers, community builders, spenders, content creators and experience architects.

Women are deeply invested in music - emotionally, socially and commercially. But their participation is also shaped by the realities of planning like group coordination, comfort, convenience, community, and overall experience design.

With 83% of women fans playing a key role in architecting the live music journey for her group, the industry has an opportunity to create more frequency, more loyalty and spend by deepening the emotional experience and easing the logistical process.

An incredible conversation about women’s sports and culture took place with @gloriasteinem and @billiejeanking in Ms. Steinem’s apartment. An incredible crew of thought leaders, fire starters, purpose driven women- what a gift to have been able to spend this time together with so many legends- young and not so young.

Talking circles, Jedi councils - whatever you want to call it - are where it’s at. We celebrated each other, agreed and disagreed. Keep lighting the torch, friends.
