Hey everyone! ❤️
.
It’s been a little while since I posted, but how are you all?

I’ve a question for you - what has been a quote/ lyric/ word that you’ve loved reading or listening to recently? ✨

For me, I loved writing this line, “Your heart is too big and wild for a gilded cage like this,”
.
Please let me know how you are getting on with your WIPs in the comments below!
.
Much love,
Kerry

Hey folks!

💥Yesterday, I wrote about a King returning home to his seat of power. 💥

#writingprompt - write about a character returning home from a long journey.

🖊️ Are they well received?
🖊️Do they expect a warm welcome?
🖋️What news/ gossip do they have to tell?

This is a section I have been struggling with currently, but I know that I have to write this part to lay out the foundation for other key scenes.

When I tend to get distracted or the ol’ imposter syndrome starts creeping in, I try to say to myself that this is a first draft - it’s not supposed to be perfect, this is you telling yourself the story.

If you find the prompt interesting, please let me know what you create with it! 😄

#QOTD: #writers and #authors which part are you working on your current WIP?
.
For me, I have worked on the Prologue and the first three chapters of The Fire in Fear, getting a feel for my heroine’s voice and how she observes things.
.
I’m determined to have a draft of The Fire In Fear completed by the end of November so that I can sink my teeth into The Power to Protect in the New Year! ❤️
.
Tell me all about your writing goals, i’d love to cheer you on! 💥🎉

#QOTD: what is your WIP?

Hey folks, happy Sunday!!

So I took the plunge yesterday and created an author page to take you guys along with me writing my fantasy duology … so I am going to use this page show my progress/ inspirations one post at a time. You can also use some posts as prompts for your own WIP. 🖊️

Down the line and definitely closer to #nanowrimo I’d like to do so word sprints/ sessions so if that is something you are interested in drop me a comment or a DM!

Speaking of WIPs, let me know what you are working on. I’d love to hear all about it and where you are with it! ☺️

Much love,
Kerry

Hey folks!

Welcome to my author page, where I am on a journey to put the story that has been clawing me inside out for nearly 7 years to paper one sentence at a time!

Some of you may have come across my bookstagram account @the.book.wardrobe and a big hello if you have! 🥰

💫 The series will be a duology: the first book is named The Fire in Fear 🔥 and is the focus at the mo for now and I hope to have a full draft completed by the end of the year, but I can’t waitttt to write the sequel, which I’ve recently re-named from The Grim in Grotesque to The Power to Protect💥 (it was a creative brainstorm from a restless night lol)

🌓 Thank you for visiting, pull up a chair and your poison of choice and come along with me to Aryith - where Dragons, Sennars, Etherials and all sorts of wonderful and lethal creatures await 📖

❖ I finally finished Desperate Measures and I’m working my way through a bear shifter romance. It’s an okay read but I can’t stop thinking about A Darker Shade of Magic. I need to wait until I have quiet time to read that one so I can leave planet earth for q few hours.

"In my experience, if you look people in the eye they usually mind their own business."

"Two Brothers" by Ben Elton

Rate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Scarcely a year after Hitler had been handed power, something of what he had always claimed about the Jews had actually come to pass. He said they were different. And they had become different. He had accused them of being furtive and sneaky. And they had become furtive and sneaky. Covering up. Lying low. Watching the door. Hiding away. Survival rats. Constantly nervous, trying to blend in, avoiding people’s."

The story is based on real facts and takes place in Germany in the remotest times of II World War. It tells the story of two brothers, Paulus and Ottos, and by destiny they became "twin brothers" of the Jewish family Wolfgang (musician) and Frieda (doctor). Due to the embarrassing and sad history of prejudice and attacks on Jews at the time, the brothers needed to separate, one Jew stayed with his family in times of conflict and the other became a member of the SS under Hitler's command.

With super different personalities, The Brothers find themselves in different positions in the face of war conflicts, they even share the love of the same girl Dagmar since childhood ans their friend Silke. Paulus is more rational and intelligent and always draws up plans to save his family and friends from various situations and Ottos is more warrior and with a stronger physical build, where he prefers to use his physical strength to end this sad situation.

Faced with terrible events, the family and the Jews find themselves in situations of extreme emotional and social crisis.

The book recounts the narrative of the Jewish family from 1920 to 1945, and parallels the life of one of the brothers in 1956 currently.

I truly recommend this reading 🥰📚

“I danced for the end of everything I knew and the beginning of everything I did not.” – Ariadne.

✧ No comments on today. I’m just after cuddling up and I’m hoping to take a nap because I’m absolutely drained today. My son is off with his Da so I might as well get in some nap time while I can.

Talk to you all later.

▪︎ I have this soap on my kitchen soap tray, and I absolutely love it. Handmade soaps have always been my favourite thing. I’ve really sensitive skin, but they never cause any issues for me. No irritation, dryness or blotches. I cannot wait to try more of Sara's blocks. 😍

❖ Winter’s Orbit is so good – if this doesn’t end happily I’m going to die.

Desperate Measures is alright, the story is definitely more appealing than the style of writing, I’m curious to know how it plays out.
