Hey lovely people, it’s been a while! Happy New year to you all ☺️ How have you all been doing? How’s the reading going?

I’ve been feeling a bit more energised today and it’s my last day off before going back to work so I thought I’d put up my wrap up for January and get my February TBR all set to go!

I LOVE autumn. I love the coziness it brings, the craving for hot chocolate, the sweaters/ blankets are whipped out and it’s perfect to snuggle up with a book 📚

I love paranormal/ gothic books as well at any time of the year, but I’m going to dive back into some dark, bloody, and delicious gothic books! If you have recs fire them my way! 🖤🦇🧟🧛‍♀️

It’s been a while … how in the heck are you all? 😁

I’ve been very absent from the bookstagram community over the past couple of months being caught up on so much from hens, engagements and being ill with wisdom teeth 🦷 but I am going to be posting a lot more now, but I have something to share …

I am now a homeowner! 🔑🏡
Saying that makes my stomach fizz up and a smile break across my face … if you had of told me I’d be in this position a year ago I wouldn’t have believed you! My friend @lrs1992 sent this to me in a card a long time before all this came about - and it was the first thing I did before I opened the door ❤️

Bookcases are not in just yet, but I am ITCHING to get my library in! I will being doing an unhaul in the coming weeks of some bookish merch and books so keep an eye!

💐 So excited to start the featured book “Enemies to Lovers” @along_the_spine readalong A Touch Of Darkness by @authorscarlettstclair ! ☠️

I loveeee anything to do with Hades and Persephone (or anything about Greek Mythology) and I am intrigued!
Only a couple of chapters in and the tension between Persephone and Hades is 🙈👀🥵😏

#AOTD: I am on a bit of a ban at the mo cause I am in the middle of something exciting happening towards the end of summer, but here are some of the fantastic books I have received in my @along_the_spine book boxes! ⭐️

I finished The Gilded Ones and it is so gripping! The book itself came with vibrant green sprayed edges as well! 💚

I really enjoyed getting to audio this month and when I heard one of my favourite writing mentors and author @makeyourstorymatter ymatter had created and narrated her own audiobook for 100 Days of Sunlight, I couldn’t resist and I loved it! The narration was crisp and clear between Tessa and Westen. It’s a sweet, emotional and clean story with great representation and sensitivity of disability and trauma. Check her out on Amazon! 💕
I craved anther read of The Song of Achilles and found a good audio version and I really enjoyed it again like I did the first time (though my heart was still broken) ❤️
A read that surprised my was A Heart So Fierce and Broken - it was so so good! Grey is bae 😍 but I loved Lia Mara and how she was presented and how sweet and clever she is - and the slow burn literally is so wholesome and beautiful!
