🌧️ WELL… THAT WASN’T ON THE BINGO CARD. 🌀

We have been talking about the MAKE Wellness Social ALL week…

…and then Mother Nature decided she wanted to join the event planning committee. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

With the weather taking a pretty serious turn this weekend, we’ve decided to POSTPONE the Wellness Social rather than have everyone splashing their way to The Atrium. 🌧️

And honestly…we know there are only so many things worth putting on real clothes for when it’swet and miserable outside. 😂

SO — stay tuned for our NEW DATE announcement! 🎉coming soon….

Same place.
Same time.
Just HOPEFULLY a much better weather situation. 🙏🏻

And we promise…it’ll be worth the wait.

We’ve got 16 local wellness businesses, samples, light bites, giveaways + a BIG raffle, and a whole afternoon designed to get you out, meet some awesome local people and discover some really good stuff happening in our community.

So stock up on some groceries, hunker down, and have your sharpies ready to save the date again. 🤍

Let’s welcome Stephanie, owner of @the.good.ground to Weezie’s! 🌱🤍

The Good Ground is all about connecting our community with good, local food. Stephanie thoughtfully gathers products from local farmers, growers & makers, making it easier to know where your food comes from and support the people behind it!

Weezie’s will now be a pickup spot for Good Ground customers on Thursdays && you may even start seeing some of the local goodies she sources incorporated into our own Weezie’s dishes!!🥬🍅✨

We’re so excited to have Stephanie in our space and love getting to support another local business that cares about good food & community as much as we do! 🤍

We are so grateful for the opportunity to increase education in our community through partnerships like the one we have with @uncwchhs to be a doctor is to be an educator and there is no place we would rather be! Thank you to everyone who helped make the inaugural Menopause Summit a success from planning over the last months to day of teaching and participation! We couldn’t have done it without you 🙌🏼 this is just the first step of many to improving knowledge and health outcomes for women’s health here in Wilmington!

You’ve been asking for locally sourced cooking tallow — so we made it happen. 🤍

We’ve been saving fat trim from our cows over time and had it rendered in a USDA-inspected facility.

This is our pasture-raised beef tallow.
High smoke point. Clean flavor. Built for real cooking.

Perfect for searing, sautéing, roasting, and seasoning cast iron.

Available this starting this week 📣@thewilmingtonfarmersmarket
next week @hampsteadfarmersmarketnc & online with @the.good.ground & @thesaltedshell

From our pasture… to your kitchen.

FORM FOLLOWS FREQUENCY !

➰ THE RECIPE ::
get out your blender (a small container works best, but not necessary)
toss in :
~4-5 superfree medjool dates, torn
2 Tbsp superfree raw maca maca
1.5 Tbsp superfree raw Peruvian cacao
1/2 tsp superfree gut mct
pinch mineral salt (optional, there’s some already in the maca maca)
optional collagen (also not necessary, but you do you and it works beautifully)
~16-20 ounces brewed coffee or tea of choice or hot water
blend on high
(makes ~ 2 servings)
!! options :
> can pour over ice if you prefer iced
> can put in fridge for later (or freeze into ice cubes!) or even make a big batch and have it ready for the week (it’s so good cold, too)
> can add another date or a little local raw honey if you want a little sweeter / to reap those benefits first thing as well
> can add cinnamon and or cardamom and or vanilla, all are divine
> can add your mushroom extracts or powders and keep everything else the same or swap hot water for the coffee, also divine
> can use MATCHA instead of cacao, and swap hot water for the coffee, so yum
> can use TURMERIC + GINGER instead of or in addition to cacao (my fav) and swap hot water for the coffee (love this iteration in the evening)

>> essentially what we’re offering is that the world is wide open to you <<
