Today, we gathered to capture the magic of JPPilates on camera.

My goal was simple: I wanted people to see not just what JPP looks like, but how it FEELS to be a part of it. And there was no better way to tell that story than with the actual people who make this community what it is.

As the cameras started rolling and I watched my instructors and clients moving together, laughing, smiling, and filling the room with so much joy, I found myself holding back tears.

Because this time last year, this space didn’t even exist.

This time last year, I was sick to my stomach with worry. So many unknowns. So many moments of wondering, What if this doesn’t work out?

I wish I could go back and give that version of myself just a little glimpse of what was coming. Of the people who would fill this room. The magic that would happen.

I wish I could put my arm around her and whisper…

Oh, Jenn. It worked out.

And it turned out to be even more beautiful than you imagined. ❤️

This month, instead of naming a Client of the Month, I felt really called to do something a little different and highlight one of our incredible instructors — Alexis! 🤍 @the.lexlevel

I met Alexis about a year ago when she approached me about working at JPP. At the time, I encouraged her to get her Pilates certification and told her that if she truly wanted to teach here, the first step was becoming part of our community.

And wow, did she take that to heart.

I have rarely seen someone so motivated or so willing to spring into action. Alexis earned her Pilates certification, became a regular in our classes, and started working alongside me as a studio apprentice — learning, observing, asking questions and putting in the work — before earning her place on our regular teaching schedule.

Since then, she has continued to impress me.

Alexis walks into our studio with a positive attitude every single day. She is motivated, kind-hearted, eager to learn and genuinely invested in the people around her. She has done an incredible job connecting with our clients, welcoming new faces and helping make people feel like they belong at JPP.

What I admire most about Alexis is the way she approaches growth. Every challenge, every piece of feedback and every opportunity to improve has been met with an open mind and an open heart. She wants to be great at what she does and she’s willing to put in the work to get there.

Building JPP has never just been about filling a schedule with instructors. It’s about finding people who understand what this community means and who want to help make it even stronger. Alexis is one of those people.

Watching her go from someone who walked through our doors saying, “I want to teach here,” to becoming such an important part of our team has been incredibly special.

Alexis, we see your hard work, your heart and everything you bring to JPP. We are so lucky to have you. This month, we’re celebrating YOU! 🤍

🇺🇸 NO ONE IS MAKING YOU SHOW UP.

As recruiters in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, we’re still Soldiers — and we’re expected to maintain the same Army fitness standards.

The difference is, most days there isn’t a formation waiting for us in the morning. We have to make the time and put in the work ourselves.

That’s why I’ve really enjoy training at JP Pilates. The early-morning classes fit perfectly into a busy recruiting schedule, the workouts are no joke, and the community makes a huge difference. You get to know the people around you, and everyone motivates and pushes each other to keep going. 💪

I also have to shout out @whoop for helping me stay on top of my fitness. Recovery, sleep, strain, workouts — it puts everything in one place and gives me the information I need.

At the end of the day, though, the technology can’t do the workout for you.

You still have to show up every day.

And one of my favorite newer WHOOP features is being able to share workout videos. My wife and I don’t always get the chance to train together, so being able to share those moments when our schedules don’t line up makes it even better.

Being in the Guard means balancing your military career, civilian career, fitness and family. It isn’t always about having more time.

It’s about making the time. 🇺🇸💪
