POV: you take a multivitamin, a probiotic, and three other things every morning, and your labs still come back low!

Integrated health practitioner Lindsey Burwell saw this over and over with her clients, and she thinks the missing piece is absorption. The full conversation on gut health and supplements is in episode 915 of Almost 30 Podcast.

If you've ever felt like you didn't have a say in your own medical care, you're not imagining it.

My guest this week, @drbethdupree, a breast cancer surgeon turned integrative healer, and I talk about why shared decision-making matters, and why no doctor should ever tell a patient there's only one path forward. Her rule with patients: lay out the options and let them choose.

Nobody in that room needed me to have a perfect workout.

They needed someone to show up and move first.

This weekend I led a workout at the Rooted Reset Retreat in Scottsdale alongside The Patch Method, and it reminded me of something I say a lot but still have to relearn: strength isn’t a performance, it’s leadership in motion. The way you show up for your body is the way you show up for everything else you’re building.

That’s why @itsstephrubio wanted to integrate wellness and strategic planning. A room full of ambitious women, choosing strength over shrinking - in business and in health.

It’s my absolute honor to help women show up for themselves and I’m so grateful to have been there.

Comment PATCH if you want a simple and effective way to make health a part of your hustle.

I was once diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. It turned out to be completely benign, but not before I learned three lessons I still carry with me today.

That story came up this week in my conversation with @drbethdupree, a breast cancer surgeon turned integrative healer: always get a second opinion, don't let decisions come from fear, and trust your own inner knowing, even when it means pushing back on what a doctor says.

Woke up feeling blah today 🥴 zero motivation and airbnb cleaning day. My first thought was to skip everything and just get through the day.

But 4+ years out from my sleeve and I’ve noticed the blah days and the ones I really need my habits.

So I did the small stuff…protein first, patch on, and I started the workout challenge I didn’t want to start (but of course ended up loving).

Comment PATCH for my link to the patches that just make me feel so much better about my life 😆

(And these aren’t a magic fix for everyone so as always ask your dr)
