This week is an absolutely surreal one. The theme being celebrating life. With family and friend birthday celebrations, comes little Leo’s funeral at the end of the week.

Leo had inspired Poppy to fundraise and donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust. He was a fighter and we’ll never forget his ability to smile, care for others and seek joy regardless of what he was going through.

We can’t stop the celebration of our loved ones birthdays but we can wait to share our surprise announcement till next week out of respect to Leo and his lovely family.

Lighting a candle every night for you Leo till you’re put to rest. May you feel your life celebrated on Friday. I know you’ll always be with your family. 🕊️💐🕯️💕

We’ve got an incredible selection of independent local businesses joining us, bringing everything from beautiful handmade gifts and festive treats to unique finds and so much more!

We’re also thrilled to announce that our entertainment is now confirmed! We’ll be showcasing some amazing talent from local choirs and performers, bringing plenty of festive music and Christmas cheer throughout the day!

We’re also delighted to have some wonderful local businesses coming on board as official sponsors, helping us make this year’s event even more special which we couldn’t be more grateful for. Your support means everything.

RARE. 🥩

What an incredible night!

Last night, an idea we’ve been working on for months finally came to life, our first ever RARE. at Block & Butcher.

A butcher’s shop transformed for one night.
24 guests. Seven courses.
A menu built around incredible meat, from hook to plate.

But RARE. was about so much more than the food.

One of the best parts of doing what we do is getting to work alongside people who genuinely love hospitality and are incredibly passionate about their craft.

RARE. was created by people who care.

The idea was created, the produce was sourced, the drinks were selected, the food was cooked and every plate was served by people who are passionate about what they do.

And we think that showed in every part of the night.

A huge thank you to @blocknbutcher for believing in the idea, opening up their incredible space and sourcing some phenomenal produce for the menu.

To @no2poundst for bringing the drinks side of RARE. to life with the wine pairings. 🍷

And to @the.secret.macaron for creating the incredible Parmesan, beef & onion macarons for our secret course — they couldn’t have fitted the night any better.

From the butter candles burning on the tables to the final plate leaving the kitchen, it was everything we hoped RARE. would be.

And to the 24 people who managed to grab a seat after we sold out in under 3 minutes! thank you for being there for the very first one.

What an incredible first night.

This was RARE.

First night complete. And we’re only just getting started. 🥩🔥

Absolutely loved making this vibrant white chocolate drip cake! A whopping 10” it was huge! Filled with white chocolate ganache and white chocolate buttercream, topped with macarons and fresh fruit.

The Chef’s Table | June 🍽️

One of the hottest days of the year… and somehow we still managed to serve 120 plates! 🥵

From the first course to the final plate, every dish was cooked, plated and served just a few feet from our guests!

These nights are what The Chef’s Table is all about seasonal food, flowing wine, great conversation, and bringing people together around one table.

A special shout-out to @blocknbutcher for the incredible free-range pork belly, which featured in one of the evening’s standout courses! 🐖

A huge thank you to @grape_expectations_wine for hosting another fantastic evening, and to everyone who joined us and made it another unforgettable night. ❤️
