Pieces of puzzle 001 -> Windshield secured and rear glass installed thanks to @the.werx , with the rear quarters waiting on the headliner. NOS Hella smileys from @bavariansteeringwheels and new Sport Evo grilles are on, with more trims, finishes and another @fcpeuro order inevitable. More importantly, the @bimmerheads S14B25 is here. Next up is getting a bin of hard goods refinished by @renewedfinishes, the engine in, and beginning the standalone, wiring and induction side of the build while the upholstery gets trimmed. WTB: Still hunting for mint/NOS E30 coupe door seals, an airbox for the 52mm ITBs, and the right head unit. A small update ahead of this Sundays E30 M3 gathering at the studio. September 13th, we’re opening the doors at GW with @california_e30m3_gruppe for a morning centered around the E30 M3. The GW M3 will be on display, exactly as it sits. Alongside it, we’ll have a selection of the parts, pieces and details from the partners helping us put the car back together. A chance to see the project outside of the screen, talk through the build, and spend the morning around a collection of E30 M3s from throughout Southern California. No grand opening. No finished car. One step at a time. Eventually the pile of parts starts looking like a car again. Since the last update, the pace has quietly picked up. The sound deadening is in, the wiring harness is installed, new carpet has found its way inside alongside a NOS dashboard, new fuel system has been installed, and the body is plumbed and back together for panel alignment. Every completed task cleared the path for the next one. Armen at @the.werx has joined us for reassembly, while another round of parts from @fcpeuro continues to move the project forward. The glass has been prepared with 3M CR BLK 80. The scope creep is finally behind us, or should we say consumed us and the vision is clear. There is still a long road ahead. The interior is away at upholstery, we’re waiting on a few special deliveries from @acsolutions.co and @bimmerheads where Shant & Matt have a very special S14B25 beginning to take shape. Standalone management, brakes, and countless details still remain and we’ll be sure to share. Someone once reminded us to stop looking at the entire mountain and simply tackle bite sized tasks to build momentum.
