I felt a great sense of pride adding the @cfsnowbirds to our Minecraft Building Toronto Project. Since I was a young child, I always looked forward to their yearly attendance at the Canadian International Air Show, I will miss watching them in the years to come.

Now that these iconic planes are retired, it felt right to ensure they lived on forever in our Minecraft world!

Thanks to @nasurphotography for the photo used at the beginning!

In 5 short (but really long) months, the det/display team has seen more of Canada than many Canadians get to see in their entire lifetime. That honour, and commemorating the #cfsnowbirds #ct114tutor legacy, was not lost on us. Here is a glimpse of many of those places, to the timeless music song composed for the team by none other than #stevenvitali, a fellow inspired Canadian, decades ago. Used with permission and great thanks. #snowbirds55

So hard to choose just 20 photos…
@cfsnowbirds final aerial display over Moose Jaw was very bittersweet. They put on a fantastic show despite some strong winds and made the absolute best of it all!

The team and the CT-114 Tutors will be greatly missed by all!
A Canadian icon a lot of us grew up watching! 55 years of excellence!

All the mechanical technicians have done a fantastic job over 55 years to keep these jets in perfect condition and air worthy so, the Snowbird Pilots could keep taking flight and amaze not only Canadians but everyone around the world who watched them take to the skies!

Snowbirds, you will be missed!
Blue Skies and Tailwinds ahead for you all!
We will see you again soon!

Thank you once again to the @cfsnowbirds for sharing with us 55 amazing years of the CT-114 Tutors. The style, grace, precision and Canadian spirit have truly been a privilege to watch and photograph. It was very bittersweet today watching One Last Ride from Moosejaw in my living room. 😢 Friends and family of the Snowbirds, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to see these amazing pilots and technicians every year. Your sacrifices for the team are not unnoticed and very much appreciated ♥️ Comox has had the honour of hosting you year after year for spring training, and to think I will no longer hear the iconic roar of the CT-114 Tutor in our skies has me very emotional. It has been my pleasure to share with you in every moment I have had with you all. Thank you again Snowbirds, and every single one of you that has made this team possible with the CT-114 Tutors. @hangar_7_tt @match_eh @the2jet @thethreejet @the8jet @jeremy.dionne.98 @jerinjay

Today was definitely a hard one to take in. Today at 2:00pm EST the Canadian forces snowbirds flew their last ever air demonstration in the beloved CT-114 tutor over their home base in moose jaw Saskatchewan. Throughout growing up the snowbirds have always been some of my biggest ideals and still will forever be, it was always my biggest dream to one day fly for the snowbirds and that dream will never die. Thankfully I was lucky enough to see them one last time in person at Hamilton airport when they made their last stop to it.

For 55 years the snowbirds inspired millions of people and lucky I happened to be one of them. They are by far one of the biggest reasons I have such a passion for aviation in itself and will forever always be the reason I love it so much, and it all started from one air show of them I went to see when I was younger. The snowbirds will forever have a place in my heart and will forever live on with me as my favorite air demonstration team.

All I can say is thank you to every team member that was a part of the team for making my childhood passion into what it is today. Thank you for 55 great years of excellence and perfection.

Thank you snowbirds🫶
Till next time

Today was a sad day for those involved in aviation. Though I believe we all know the day would come that the @cfsnowbirds would retire the CT-114 Tutor, it’s still sad to see it happen. I only ever got the chance to see the Snowbirds twice, and I unfortunately cannot say I feel entirely satisfied with the photos I have of them. Though the US demo teams can certainly claim to have the advantage in speed and tight flying, the Snowbirds had some incredibly unique formations and maneuvers which made seeing them an incredible experience. Thanks very much to the pilots, mechanics, administration, social media, and any other crew I’m missing that kept these demos flying for 55 full years. These photos are from the 2026 @columbusairshow .

I've done lots of snowbirds content lately so with the final public show done here's another tribute of this amazing team from the Barrie Airshow, a shame they are downgrading to props but we will see them in the skies very soon!

Fifty Five Years of Representing Canada.

Today, the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the Snowbirds, finished their last high show display in the iconic Canadair CT-114 Tutor. The team will be grounded for the next few years as they hopefully comeback in the early 2030s and transition to the newer CT-157 Siskin II.
Ever since the demonstration in Barrie, Ontario, I’ve held off these photos with the same idea in mind throughout the entire summer; post these on the last day of the Tutor’s demonstration days. That day is today. While I haven’t been in the aviation community for too long, it has been so special seeing the Snowbirds as a yearly tradition over the summer with my dad as we attended more and more airshows. There’s so many memories that I hold close to my heart all the way from Oreo flying the team over the crowd at a very cloudy CIAS2023 in Toronto to the team’s display in Quinte in 2024 and their incredible demonstrations in London in 2025. I owe a special thank you to the current @the2jet and former Snowbird 3, Major Steve Timm and his wife, Megan, who have helped me coordinate arrival times and general information on the team, as well as getting the chance to catch Stewie during his short time out of the forces.
I’ll stop yapping. Long live the Snowbirds, and hopefully we’ll see them back in the skies in not too long.

Thank you @cfsnowbirds! Until Next Time! 🫡

2021 my first time shooting Snowbirds I was able to capture the incredibly rare 11 jet pass out of YYZ.

I was alone on the hill as they passed overhead, I look back at this video and remind myself how special this moment was.

Second video was @match_eh sign off on the 2931st air demonstration in the iconic Canadair CT-114 Tutor.

We will miss those 9 sparkling light coming head on!
