❓️ Tell us a little about your recent bartending ventures before Keefer!⁠
☺️ "I moved here in 2021 and I’ve pretty much been working in Yaletown the entire time. I started at the Yaletown Distillery (R.I.P) and that’s where I learned most of my classics. From there I went to Per se Social Corner and then on to Bartholomew which was my home for the last 3 years. Safe to say I feel most comfortable in a dimly lit cocktail bar!"⁠

❓️ What's your favourite cocktail to make somebody for their first time?
☺️ "50:50 Martini. I’ve been trying to convert as many people as possible to enjoy vermouth in their Martinis. I love a 50:50 because it’s a nice lower ABV option that’s very sessionable.⁠
Similarly, I love the Adonis Complex on the Summer Prescriptions because it’s a beautifully layered & textured lower ABV cocktail."⁠

☺️ "Just recently had the best Oysters of my life at Bar Tartare (@_bartartare). Como Taperia (@comotaperia) is one that’s always in my rotation, and my favourite place for a cocktail is easily the 515 (@the515bar)"⁠

Visiting the good ol @the515bar

With so many friends from across the globe visiting the next couple days for North America’s @50bestbars, thought I’d share some of my fave places to eat, drink and hang out in Vancouver.

From morning coffee at @revolvercoffee, treats at @nemesis.coffee, leisure lunch at @toukyvr, champagne happy hour at @labattoir_van, to dinner at @sushihil_restaurant followed by many martinis at @botanistdining and laaaaate night highballs and handrolls at @okuizakayabar. In no particular order, here are some of my usual jaunts in Vancouver. No gimmick, no viral spots, no nonsense line up — just great food, cocktails and even better time.
