THE GROUNDBREAKERS

The Groundbreakers was my first youth exchange experience, and I could not be more thankful for that!

Throughout these 10 days we’ve learnt about soil health, composting and the more-than-human world that lies under our feet.

I facilitated workshops on wild clay: we made some jewellery pieces and ephemeral sculptures from local Kiscelli Clay, and held a short brainstorming session on how we might make the soil healthier (from the perspective of aliens, earthworms, and our grandparents).

Thank you to everyone – my new friends from Spain, Germany and Hungary!

We‘ve noticed that many of you have no clue who is behind this platform!!

So let us introduce ourselves:

We are Franziska Reich and Kiki C. Czerner - hands on jewelry designers with the vision to offer young creatives the opportunity to present themselves and their work in an extraordinary environment.

We met during our jewelry design studies and, brought together by our shared sensitivity, individual experiences as well as our love for creating meaningful things, we started working on exhibitions together.

Something precious was created as a platform for creatives from different fields, in order to bring people together, grow a community of makers and curate spaces that add to the cultural landscape of St. Moritz and the Engadin.

Our first exhibition took place at @villa_beaulieu.stmoritz in feb/march 2026. This is where our vision started growing exponentially, and we decided: this is no one time thing.

The second volume was exhibited at @playground_garage_ in St. Moritz during july/august 2026.

It’s happening again—we’re opening the doors to our summer exhibition in St. Moritz.
