Thank you @just_another_horror_reader4 for tagging me to do a #onewordwednesday stack! I've tried to get a variety of books in this stack, thrifted books, a graphic novel, a translated book, 2 anthologies, and a couple of favourites. (Porno has been renamed Trainspotting 2 incase you were unaware).

The fairy in this pic was given to my daughter by my mother when she was a toddler. It was a decoration in her outdoor playhouse. We moved when my daughter was 6 and I always treasured this fairy. Now my mum is sick. I'm so glad I have something I can look at that reminds me of her.

✨️Today we are going to try this little poll thing.... question of the day - do you prefer cats or dogs?

🪶 Show Me Your Feathers 🪶

Thank you @evitaveda for tagging me in this! 💜 I've always loved feathers on book covers as well as in other artsy projects - so this was a fun challenge to inspire me to do another Friday Flatlay photo 🤩

The books in the photo are:
🪶 Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
🪶 Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse
🪶 King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
🪶 Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim
🪶 A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
🪶 A Fate Inked In Blood by Danielle L Jensen
🪶 Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao
🪶 Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
🪶 Shipnof Magic by Robin Hobb
🪶 Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
🪶 Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim (1st photo) or The Clockwork Girl by Anna Mazzola (2nd photo)

Bardugo sure loves feathers too 😍

See a book you love or hope to read soon? 📖

Tagged a few, but no pressure of course 🤗

Wish you all a wonderful weekend 🍵💚

"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve." -Gordie Lachance

Well, guys. This was me, crying, in the rain, while both walking down the sidewalk and reading the last few pages of Saturday Night Ghost Club. Fuck. So I go into a lot of books blind...@shawn.of.the.read recommended this one to me for the twelve books by twelve friends challenge. Based on the blur,b I figured it was a fun adventure story about some kids ghost hunting. And it is...sort of. It's a little bit Are You Afraid of the Dark and a lot Stand by Me. One summer in the 1980's in Niagara Falls, Jake finally makes some friends and they set out for spooky adventures with his eccentric, fun Uncle Cal. Along the way, he learns the hard truth we all learn around that age: no one's family is perfect and a lot of things happened before we were born.

"I felt stunned, unsure what had transpired-even though I could sense the outline of the evening's horribleness. It was like seeing things squirming under a silk sheet and knowing instinctively
that if you were to pull it back you'd see thousands of centipeded crawling over each other."

Thanks to @the_abbey_normal for the buddy read..This was a lot easier than the last one😂 #houseofleaves

QOTD: What's a fun adventure you and your friends got into when you were 12-ish?

Happy Friday, y'all🖤.

Hello🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️! Sometimes you see a challenge and it just calls to you. Today, I saw @spookylittlebooknerd post #thingsimasuckerfor and I immediately started grabbing things around the house. So...

Things I'm a sucker for:

*Robodragons

*Baseball, specifically the St. Louis Cardinals, who are currently presenting their worst team of my lifetime. Are you a baseball fan and if so, are you playing Immaculate Grid?

*Classic Rock: If it's not from the 70s, I don't know it.

*Alice in Wonderland

*Funko Pops

*Loki, in all forms

*Salty snacks, currently obsessed with both this Tex Mex mix and Elote mix.

*80s and 90s movies

*Art...I love art I discovered some really great artists online...slide two is pieces from @feliciaolin and @thepoppytree, slide three is @kudulah

*oh yeah, my cats

Tagging some people to play but, as always, if you see this and are interested #consideryourselftagged🖤

Happy Wednesday, y'all!!

📚𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚝𝚒𝚝𝚕𝚎𝚜📚

Wow okay this one was HARD.

Thank you @happy_constantreader @leavesandreads @jhudson_reads @spookylittlebook.witch for tagging me!

I started out trying to use older books/books I don't post very often and then it got dicey and I skipped 13 so that I could use my 14-word title.
Second slide is my response to any comments telling me that I cheated.

1. Fledgling
2. The Tomb
3. Breakfast at Tiffany's
4. Ben, In The World
5. Let The Right One In
6. Briefing For a Descent Into Hell
7. In My Dream I Hold A Knife
8. Into The Forest and All The Way Through
9. If You Died Tomorrow I Would Eat Your Corpse
10. Because It Is Bitter, And Because It Is My Heart
11. I Found a Circus Tent in the Woods Behind My House
12. This World Belongs To Us: An Anthology of Horror Stories About Bugs
14. 99 Poems to Cure Whatever's Wrong With You or Create the Problems You Need

Phew 😮‍💨 tagging a few! Let's see what ya got.
