How spooky do you like to read? 1-2-or 3 ghosties? 👻👻👻

I love to read any amount of spooky as long as it is good! 🖤 Here are a couple of books that definitely had me creeped out. The Book of Accidents needs to be a film like YESTERDAY and I love every Grady Hendrix book I’ve ever read. Need to get them all!

Happy reading, spooky friends! 💀🎃

Autumn is here 🍂🍁🎃🐈‍⬛

Aaaand, meet one of our newest additions 🖤🫶🏻

This is Gadget, and her brother is Gizmo lol. They are very sweet and rambunctious and making our lives a little crazy but in the best way!

Also be prepared for me to gush about this book. I am only like 12 pages in and I LOVE IT 🙌🏻😬

Here’s me, not letting go of spooky season 👻

Just got my hands on this one! What are your thoughts on Horrormance? It opens with a pretty gruesome death—so far so good 🤣 by @the_abbey_normalbooks

This book!!! Absolutely amazing and bonkers and a MUST READ if you love haunted house books. I loved it so much! I am a total sucker for Christina Henry’s books. If you haven’t read any yet I highly recommend.

Here’s a glimpse of my October so far. Took my mini me and her bestie to Rocky Horror Picture Show at the STL Fox Theatre 🖤 bittersweet now that Tim Curry has passed 😥 and then I missed making a big fun post for my bestie for the restie since he had his birthday on Tuesday! He’s one of my favorite people but I just couldn’t find a cool enough pic to plaster on the internet so if you scroll over you’ll see a mediocre one of me and him laughing as usual. 🖤 happy birthday, @leapstron Christopher!!! 🥳

Now I’m off to work and appointments and all the normal nonsense of life (hopefully with a dash of spooky mixed in 😆) oh! And KITTIES!! I’ll make a post later with all their pics so you can ooh and ah they’re so cute 🥰

What’s a series or book that’s been out forever that you’ve been putting off?

I have had this on my TBR shelf for a few years and every year when school starts I think about picking it up.

Well this year I finally did and I think I read all three books in about 5 days 😅 perfect time of year, and they sucked me right in!

I absolutely adored the characters, the atmosphere, the interesting magic systems. Absolutely banger!

Hope you are having a good week, bookish friends 🖤🥰 if you love dark academia books and can read YA then I highly recommend this series

Just some spooky season TBR hopefuls 🎃 what book are you hoping to get to?

I am in the Halloween Spirit, and the weather is finally obliging 🖤 looking forward to making some fall soups (I made carrot sweet potato soup today!), spooky treats, and of course reading some books that will creep me out! 🙌🏻

Why is the sun trying to kill us? 😅 I’m normally a sunshine girl (although with a heavy dose of black permeating my soul lol) and even I am looking for shade anywhere I can get it. Whew!

In the meantime, look at these beautiful books and this awesome wall of decor at my local bookshop @a_novel_comfort 🖤 I love this place! Haven’t had a bookstore in my town in ages and this one has a bang up selection! Makes me happy in my little cold dead heart 😎

My poor Poppy girl. (Warning *sad animal info below 😔)

She still has some spunk but I can tell she doesn’t feel well. I deliberately took this angle, to spare her dignity and to keep from triggering anyone with the state of her eye.

The sweet thing is suffering some awful think sludgy drainage from her left eye and it’s hard for her to breathe through her nose, all caused by a growth behind her eye extending into her nose 😣. Hoping some extra meds will help 🤞🏻 she is my reading buddy and crazy pound puppy. It’s hard to see her like this.

Missed all your lovely faces!! I have been reading like crazy, but not as many spooky books as I’d like. What are some of your fave #summerweenreads this year?

𝓷𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰~

I’m a sucker for Christina Henry’s books, and I’m loving this one for sure! And winter time is such a great season for horror reads, if you ask me. Which you didn’t lol! You should be smart and grab one of her books anyways!

I saw a #winterween reading post and was like… hell yeah, best idea ever!! I need some major distraction in my life! Just wish I had jumped on a little earlier. 👻

This book definitely hits a few of the prompts— ‘read some horror & read at night!’ 🥂 to that, I love nighttime reading 🖤

🖤 𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝑒𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝓌𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓇 🖤

I find myself at this time of year turning to two of my faves—deep fantasy and spooky desolate reads.

Both of these were 5⭐️ reads for December!

Do you have a seasonal reading vibe?
