Good morning my fellow mental health warriors. Let's ensure we all get talking and listening for
#talkitouttuesday! Please support......

@mantalk aka the brilliant Blairgowrie blokes who meet this evening at 6.30pm for chat & refreshments. This dedicated peer support group aims to elevate the wellbeing of local men focusing on their mental health with their message that #suicideisnottheanswer Formed by @terrycomiskey 5 years ago, they've been committed to the community ever since. Additionally they have ad hoc gatherings & trips out over the course of the year including ones where the men's kiddies can join in too.

@thebraveproject was created to service the previously unmet needs of young men & boys from the BAME community; Black Asian & Ethnic Minorities. Previously overlooked, this group now has a dedicated charity operating a person centred approach to mental wellbeing, health & suicide prevention. They offer an array of greatly helpful services including mentor & coaching programmes, workshops, podcasts, holistic & creative treatments plus a general scheme of "educating, elevating & empowering". Their slogan is "you are brave not weak".

@toughtotalk is the hard hitting male suicide prevention charity founded by no nonsense advocate @stevewhittle Their approach is different in that it's pro, not reactive & aims to stop men falling as opposed to being their when they do. They deliver workplace talks by Tough Talkers, have the #manup book with various men discussing life issues, training courses, opportunities to collaborate & merchandise. Their greatest strength, in my opinion, is Steve's online content. It's concise but powerful. He covers topics like the 'reach problem' explaining how stigma still stops men accessing help that is available, how everywhere should be a 'safe space' & that a person can have a picture perfect life yet still be depressed.

@kickthestigma is a male grooming range with added punch in that it aims to promote men's mental health discussions. Some of the company's proceeds go to a MH charity too! Founded by Adam who, as a barber, found men would talk to him about life.

Good morning my fellow mental health warriors 👋🏼 Please celebrate making it through the week. For #followfriday, please support......

@thebraveproject which is a suicide prevention & mental wellbeing service for boys & young males from the BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) community. It aims to supply the unmet needs of males within this area of society through culturally appropriate & sensitive means. They operate under the principles of Educating, Elevating & Empowering. They provide various workshops, a person centred approach to help including creative & holistic approaches as well as mentoring & coaching.

@toughtotalk is the no nonsense, gimmick free male suicide prevention charity founded by @stevewhittle They aim to break the silence surrounding male suicide & hold society accountable for playing their role in helping men. The team's tough talkers deliver workplace workshops, there's a #manup book, various training courses, merchandise plus, best of all, Steve's hard hitting videos that speak the truth many people shy away from.

@tartantalkers was created by bereaved auntie Jackie Walls having lost her nephew Scott Taylor to suicide. The Scottish charity advocates for the power of talking within communities. They offer a phone helpline, Facebook messenger service, buddy scheme, peer support plus posting online content of reassurance & guidance.

@theburntchefproject 'caters' 😁 to those in the hospitality industry. Founded by @krishall who noted the draining nature of working in this field had on people. They provide a wealth of mental wellness services plus more intensive support for those struggling. You can text BURNTCHEF to 85258, there's an international whats app service, helpline, training programmes for staff, downloadable resources, merchandise, awareness stands at business events & a counselling & wellbeing assistance scheme.

@jaksworld was created to honour talented young musician Jakub Halani. Tragically this young lad died by suicide leaving his family understandably devastated 💔 The Greater Manchester charity use the power of music, community & care to support youngsters.

Black History Month is here! 🖤✨

From 1st October to 31st October, but not limited to these 31 days, it is a time to celebrate, recognise and learn more about Black history, culture, achievements and contributions🙌🏾

➡️This year’s theme for Black History Month is “Honouring Our Communities.”

Over here on @gracefullymoulded , I thought it would be great to spotlight a few Black men and women who have inspired me through their work, stories and contributions.

➡️Today, I am spotlighting The Brave Project CIC. 🩵

Established in 2020, The Brave Project provides culturally competent mental health support and resources for Black, Asian and minority ethnic boys and young men and their families, with a focus on suicide prevention and supporting those affected by suicide.

I’m the UK’s Number One Hope Dealer, and I still live with suicidal thoughts.

Both are true, and I will keep speaking openly about them so someone else feels able to say, “I’m struggling too.”

On Wednesday night at @leedsintfest Leeds International Festival, I was amongst an incredible panel including @oconnor_roryc @donellelawrence_ceo @aireyandy from @3dadswalking and @romankemp and I shared how recently those thoughts had returned, and how the people around me help me through. Reaching out and telling someone can be one of the most important steps we take when we’re suicidal.

A woman in the audience called out, “Thank you. Thank you.” She had lost her son to suicide, and I got up to give her a hug. That moment will stay with me for a very long time.

Hope can be really practical, someone answering your phone call, taking you seriously, sitting with you and helping you find a way through the next hour.

Professor Rory spoke about the need to keep talking. Roman Kemp spoke about the need for action. At @epichopeuk we bring those things together every day, supporting people who are struggling to stay alive.

My own experiences of trauma and physical difficulties are part of why this work matters so much to me. I know how hard it can be to tell someone, and how much their response matters.

Whatever anyone thinks of me, I will keep standing up for people who are suicidal. You deserve support without shame or judgement, and you don’t have to hide your pain to be worthy of hope.

Thank you to Leeds International Festival, our wonderful host @amyjirons Irons, my fellow panellists and that extraordinary audience for opening a conversation that I’m sure continued long after we left the stage.

If this speaks to you, please share it. It might help someone find the words they’ve been struggling to say 🙏🏼💜🛟

WHAT A NIGHT. ❤️‍🔥

Heart of Worship 2026, we are so grateful. A night filled with praise, worship, thanksgiving and giving, all for the glory of God. 🙌🏾

To everyone who joined us, travelled, served, worshipped, gave and stood with us, we say thank you. Your presence made the night so special.

A heartfelt thank you to all our ministers who poured out so generously, leading us into the presence of God. To the charities @the_braveproject and The Hope Centre Academy, thank you for allowing us to support the incredible work you are doing and for giving us the opportunity to make a difference together. ❤️

Most importantly, to God be all the glory. What a privilege it is to gather as one body, lift up the name of Jesus and give back to the One who has given us everything.
