Day four.
What an INCREDIBLE week with 14 legends that I now call my mates. We ran for Australia, but most of all, we ran for each other. That level of mate ship and camaraderie was something I haven’t experienced before in a race and it will be etched in my mind forever. Thank you for the laughs, the chats and for getting me through the trenches when my mind went dark. I love every one of you boys and I already can’t wait to do it again.

I would never have made the start bell without my amazing wife. And every yard after that was made possible by her and my awesome crew. My boys @markpsamuels @damonstuckey and my beautiful sister in law @hashtaghannnah (who also did all my social media) went above and beyond every single hour for 4 days and I couldn’t be more grateful for their help and sacrifice.

@redsbackyardultra To Red and the team, thank you for all your hours of time, thought and energy you dedicated to this race. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thanks for organising everything behind the scene for the team and putting on such a great event. Thanks also to the wonderful volunteers who helped all week, @milepostevents for the timing and @petekvist for an epic livestream.

See you all again in two years!

15 runners. One team. 🇦🇺

Teammates moving alongside each other. Crews doing whatever they could to keep their runner going. Supporters showing up, cheering loud and lifting people when they needed it most.

Every runner contributed. Every crew played a part. Every bit of support mattered.

A huge thank you to Red’s Backyard Ultra, the organising committee and all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to host such an incredible event and create the environment for Team Australia to do what they do best.

A special few days, and an incredible reminder of what backyard running is really about.

Seeing our boys representing Mind Over Miles at Big’s Backyard Satellite Championships was something pretty special 🇦🇺🔥

Watching so many of them push well beyond their previous limits, digging deeper than ever before, not just for themselves, but for the flag, their families, their friends and everyone cheering them on, was genuinely inspiring.
The determination, resilience and sheer heart on display was incredible to witness and even more special to be a part of

Mind Over Miles was never just about running. It was about building a community of people who challenge themselves, lift each other up and discover just how far they’re capable of going, Together. Sharing the journey.

Seeing that spirit represented on the world stage makes me incredibly proud.
Different journeys. Same mindset. Mind Over Miles 🇦🇺💪🏻🤩
