Sydney Backyard Ultra 2026 👊🏻✅

A week has passed since finishing Sydney BYU, and I thought I’d take the time to reflect and write a final recap.

What an unbelievable event and experience it was to be part of the BIGGEST backyard in the world. A massive thank you to the organisers, the live stream crew, and every single person who made the event happen. 654 people on that start line, with 108 making it to the 24 hour mark. The energy and atmosphere were unmatched, and I loved every minute of it 💪🏻

I was absolutely stoked to run a 41 hour PB in my second backyard and crack that 3 day barrier. However, I can’t take all the credit. I’ve got a few thank yous to the best support team in the business for helping me get there.

Firstly, a big thank you to my beautiful girlfriend @lauurraaxx and whole crew who came up from Melbourne to support me, making sure I got to that start line every lap.

Secondly, a big thanks to my running coach, Krissy, @annie.mannix for getting the pins ready and firing. To my nutrition coach @coachjesspretty ,for having my fuel dialled in and @organicperformance_ for supporting us with the best nutrition in the business.

To the @pulse8centre crew and your strength and conditioning coaches @hargrave.high.performance @zanejordan_ @jossmanholdsworth for all their support throughout the years. To @mmosteo_ Osteo for unmatched treatment, and @p3recovery_bayside Recovery for the all important recovery sessions.

Finally, congrats to @timk_endurance on winning the event. A well deserved victory 💪🏻

I’m excited for what this year has in store. We’re just warming up here 🚀💪🏻

Next stop Noosa Mara, lfggggggg

This has been made possible by so many people

So we have to take a moment before we begin to thank them all

So many individuals have given up their time, money and gear for this to happen.
I have no doubt Red has had many sleepless nights in preparation for this and it shows how much work the whole crew has put in to this.
It even goes all the way to an incredible community of locals putting up their own camping and backyard ultra gear for all of us to use to make this happen

From the bottom of our heart, thank you for everything !
We will do you proud
