Sometimes all you need is a gorgeous melody and a soothing chorus to slightly temper your frustrations with the horror that is MS Excel. This has been my Tuesday. New music from @the_danphes helped save the day (and my peace of mind). You can order their new “Spring/Summer EP” on cassette via their Bandcamp page. Get a badge and a sticker too. Very much recommended (whether you simply hate, or completely loathe, MS Excel). New music to rule the school. #thedanphes #springsummerep #newmusic #indiepop

A banda britânica The Danphes apresenta “Everyone I Know Is Falling Out Of Love”, novo single que transforma dúvidas sobre relacionamentos em uma faixa de guitarras vibrantes e clima melancólico.

Em vez de tratar o romance de forma idealizada, “Everyone I Know Is Falling Out Of Love” parte justamente das incertezas.

This month, we sat down with new four-piece The Danphes to chat about the band’s beginnings and sound, and what makes the Norwich music scene different.

Robin: “Within Norwich, you’re not worried about trying to impress a record label or trying to fit into a scene. The scene is supportive, and as long as you’re not a dick, other bands will come out and support you, and you’ll go and support other bands.”

Dan: “Yeah, and you don’t have these kind of sub-scenes in Norwich like you used to. Bands now want to play with other bands, regardless of how they sound, because they’re friends.”

Spike and The Danphes confirmed to support The Tubs at Voodoos this October 3rd! 📢🥀

The Tubs, a Cardiff-born jangle-pop/indie rock quartet, are known for sharp 1980s-inspired hooks and raw lyrics by frontman Owen Williams. Their debut Dead Meat earned critical acclaim; their latest album, Cotton Crown (2025), expands their sound. The Tubs Tour kicks off March 2025, their first North American headlining run.

Spike is the Synth-Pop project of Hannah McLoughlin, a London, UK-based film composer and experimental musician, affiliated with Cafe OTO, whose influences permeated the intricacy and invention of Spike’s self-production.

The Danphes, an 80’s infused indie band that have all the charm and elegance needed for the genre. Their debut single ‘Heartbreak High’ acts as a great beginning for the fledgling band by bringing the staples needed for that nostalgic indie sound.
