We went into Sickroom studio on the first day of Spring earlier this year to start recording our first four singles.

We have loved releasing these tracks over the last 6 months and so we wanted to collect them together and give them a physical release.

The first format I used to listen to was cassette (recording songs from the radio or from albums borrowed from friends + the library). So tape seemed like a fitting format for us.

We love a narrative arc and so we're releasing the Spring/Summer E.P. on the last day of summer.

We should really do something to celebrate in person...

In the meantime, you can pick up the Spring/Summer E.P on our bandcamp (link in bio) or at the merch stand at our next gig 03/10 supporting The Tubs at Voodoo's (tix in bio).

TONIGHT! 🚨 The Tubs + Spike & The Danphes are joining us at Voodoos!

The Tubs, a Cardiff-born jangle-pop/indie rock quartet, are known for sharp 1980s-inspired hooks and raw lyrics by frontman Owen Williams. Their debut Dead Meat earned critical acclaim; their latest album, Cotton Crown (2025), expands their sound. The Tubs Tour kicks off March 2025, their first North American headlining run.

Tickets on sale now - do not miss out! 🎫 taken in Voodoo Daddys Showroom by @the_danphes

Thank you @handgell and @bbcintroducing for playing our track Distance last week.

We are over the moon to be played on the BBC.

I'm old enough to have grown up listening to John Peel and discovering great new artists through BBC Radio and so getting played is a dream come true. by @the_danphes
