Oh hey! This is the corner of IG where we go all in on family. We’re not perfect, but we never stop showing up.

About us:

1. We’re a military family, Jake is a pilot and it’s been our life for 25 years. 👀 Our older boys are grown, so Betsy (our 14 year old) gets us all to herself. 😅

2. Jake and I celebrate 30 years of marriage this year. He’s my favorite. 🔥 His job took him away plenty, including time spent in combat zones. So I know a thing or two about investing in your relationship because you never know. 🥹

3. Family. Its everything. We’ve homeschooled for 16 years to give us more time together. Whenever we could, we followed Jake wherever he went. We prioritize experiences over possessions. We even lived in a school bus and traveled the country. It’s been a beautiful life.

4. Jake and I have lived in 41 homes in 29 years, basically we’ve spent our marriage traveling. One of our favorites was this apartment in Ottawa, Canada on the 23rd floor with a view of Parliament.

5. I joined my first MLM in 2017 hoping to make $200 a month so I could shop at Target guilt free. 😆 I reached an elite rank and in 6 years made 3/4 of a million dollars, earned 17 paid for trips and spoke on stage at the same event as Tony Robbins to a stadium that fit 25,000 people. What a ride!!

6. I turned 50 last year and I’m damn grateful for this body and all that it has given me.

7. I’m a reader. History, freedom, political science, personal development, and all I can find about God and His natural laws are my favorite subjects.

8. Motherhood has been a beautiful journey, though not without heartbreak. I am a mother to 5: 3 preemie boys, 1 stillborn daughter, and 1 adopted daughter. They are my greatest joy.

9. My passion is coaching. I help you grow your business while staying connected to your purpose. I think moms really need support in that area. 🫶My expertise is in money mindset and helping you overcome money blocks so you can live the life you dream of for your family. 🙏

10. I love God. I love my family. I love my life. I’m so grateful for this chapter.

We’re all raised by wounded parents. That seriously sucks… but that’s the gig.

Raising children is simultaneously the most important thing we will ever do and the one thing that none of us has any idea how to do.

I mean, the internet, social media, YouTube, Pinterest… they have all the answers.

But honestly? Imperfect parents who were raised by imperfect parents. That was our example.

You are human and that’s humanity.

But then that child is placed in your arms and all you want is to get it right. Yet you will screw up, time and again. Even when you are trying your very best.

And at night, when you close your eyes, and you revisit all the things you should have done differently, you hope your child will do it better than you did.

And maybe the cycles you did stop and the patterns you did change will make it a little easier for them. 🙏

Door to Door Sales.

From May to September instead of taking a summer vacation trip to Europe or hanging out in Provo with my friends, I spent every day drenched in sweat, knocking on the doors of countless Floridians to sell some solar panels. Sounds pretty glamorous right?

No. No, it wasn’t glamorous. And honestly it wasn’t even very fun until like the last few weeks, but do you know what it was? It was transformative. Learning the sales process, developing the interpersonal skills, facing my deepest fears of failure and rejection, standing up for myself and going ALL IN to attain my goals has changed me.

They say the higher risk, the higher the reward…That statement couldn’t be more true of my experience in sales. Although it required study, sacrifice and GREAT effort, I became the top rep in our office. I made more money than I ever thought possible in 4 months, and for that I am incredibly grateful.

But more than anything I just feel like a fundamentally different person…
I found my self-confidence. I found that the voices in my head that tell me “you’re not good enough” and “you can’t do it” are dead wrong. I found this profound peace knowing that I can learn and do ANYTHING as long and I am humble and hungry enough.

If you read all of this you are probably intrigued, or idk, maybe you want to change your life in a radical way. I know this time last year I was struggling financially and feeling stuck.
