📷 This was my personal favorite shot from late last summer when the talented and gorgeous local singer songwriter @julia.nyunt had me out to her homestead for a photoshoot to capture the vibe of her song “Ballad.” Big thank you to her and to all the folks that invite me into their worlds to capture their gifts so that they can share themselves with the world. I can’t do what I do without the support of my community. I’m excitedly looking forward to the collaborations & creative explorations to come.

#JustWinterThings: Hi. So, here’s my face for those who haven’t seen it in a while as things have been a bit quiet here. However, I wanted to pop up to let you know about some upcoming things. First up, the final event for 2024 is happening this Friday the 13th at @canopyandtherootsdahlonega as we’ll be bringing #TheSShow a.k.a. The Storyteller’s Open Mic Finale. Some fresh faces will be hitting the stage showcasing their original music “writers in a round” style with a bevy of prizes on the line. Tickets available now on C + R’s website.

Secondly, major Love to everyone for supporting the Queendom Sessions, the collab between myself & @ear.bonez.studio It’s been awesome to see and hear people’s responses to all the performances thus far as the goal was to showcase and celebrate how diverse this Queendom truly is in commemoration of Feminenergy’s XVth Anniversary as well as bring new eyes and ears to Roth and his unwavering Love and dedication to his craft. You can play catch-up on all episodes on a playlist on Ear Bonez YouTube channel before the final Queendom Session is set to be released this Friday.

Lastly, you can go ahead and mark your calendars for the 1st event of 2025, as we’ll be in my hometown of Gainesville, GA on Saturday, January 18th, as we present the Winter Edition of Sounds from the Underground (f.k.a. The Breeding Ground) at @blackstrapgvl featuring @the.unknownalt x @rosa.asphyxia x @vickisdream x @lilithjenovax. This indeed will be my first-ever show back home and looking forward to bringing this stellar line-up to Blackstrap. More things to come as we stay cooking even in the winter months. Til then… :)

Laura Glenn and Jennifer Morlock

A conversation is created when two movers who are also manual therapists/bodyworkers witness one another's energetic patterns. By "listening" via our hands, we help the other lean into the way each of our bodies wants to move. By witnessing one another (drawing from our experience with Authentic Movement), we each help the other unwind into new truths and understandings. A fully embodied approach to listening with our senses of touch, vision, and hearing with our hearts.

Kristin Baskin presents The Lora(x)
Where when the trees get chopped- so does her voice.

Lisa Yaconelli
Listening in the Dark- a silent candlelight improvisational dance inspired by the audience sharing their stories of challenges and hardship and for some when they knew they were on the other side.

Julia Nyunt creates musical settings and stories spanning a variety of genres, decades, and dimensions. What remains consistent are distinctive melodies and lyrics and a remarkable voice. She will be performing with Will Shine @itswillshine and Grayson Hauser @graysonhauser

Matt House and John Montarella will be performing a 10 minute comedy improvisational- grounded and hilarious you may have seen them participating with Flying Squid Comedy.

Also, it’s not too late to contribute to the International Student Medical Insurance fund that we raised money for at the show last Saturday. I appreciate those of you who bought tickets and/or sent additional money in for this dire need. We still have about $1000 to raise so if you have a few bucks to spare and want to ensure an individual in need can receive medical care, contribute via the Venmo link in my bio 🫶.

#QueendomInSession: Hi. So, I alongside @ear.bonez.studio have partnered up to bring you a limited-run special edition of the Ear Bonez Sessions that we’re officially calling #TheQueendomSessions & the series will premiere on Wednesday, October 30th on Ear Bonez’s YouTube channel & as part of celebrating Feminenergy’s XVth Anniversary. We started work on this project during this past summer after initial talks of collaborating back in March of this year, and the direct result is featuring femme singer/songwriters & fronted bands from within the community of femme-creatives of various genres and vibes (a.k.a. The Queendom) in a stripped-down & authentic setting provided by Ear Bonez Studios. New episodes will be released on Wednesdays & Fridays (+ 1 special Saturday episode) throughout the rest of this year, complimenting Ear Bonez’s Monday sessions. Major thanks to Roth for opening up his space to bring a bevy of artists of different genres and in turn bringing the Queendom to a new audience. And of course, those within the Queendom who came to participate and support this project. Proud of y’all and looking forward to releasing what y’all did into the world. We’re just getting started as we do have more things to come, but until then…I see you, I Love you, and #SupportYourIndieCreativeFriends & #SupportTheQueendom
