Empty batteries calls for the beach! We heard from a few of you who requested a helping hand to get started, so today we filmed a quick how-to guide to get you going and can't wait to share it! Can I tell you a secret? I haven't been able to film it because I'm totally embarrassed by my fingernails (or lack of...!) and today I stumbled across @theunlikelybookworm beautifully blogging in a cafe window and she agreed to be your handmodel! Is there anything in particular you'd like a hand with? We'll be adding in a proper tour shortly but would love your feedback - you know the drill - shake the app! We welcome a change of season with open arms but so often we greet personal change with resistance. As the new moon peaks on this first day of Spring I set the intention to smile on change & welcome it into my life as the opportunity for growth & new beginnings that it is ❀️ #intentionsetting #burningsage #newmoon #springcleaning #manifesting

Hey everyone!!! I recently reached 3000 followers and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to check out my feed!!! It's also nearly 6 months ago that I started this little adventure!!! πŸ‘― ....and what fun it's been!!! I simply adore our wonderful #bookstgram community and I've met some truly amazing people....I've tagged but a few! - ( please take the time to check out their accounts!!! )😍 . πŸ“š . So my lovely friend Emma @mistyangelofsky gave me the idea of spelling words out using #dropcaps !!! (See her previous posts) I kinda thought it might be fun to start a new hashtag #spellitwithdropcaps .....so if you own any Dropcaps and fancy having a go, please do! πŸ˜‰ . πŸ“š . #thankyou #penguindropcaps #penguinbooks #penguinstagram #bookspines #rainbowbooks #rainbowspines #igreads #bookstagram #bookphotography #bookstagrammer #booklove #bookart #fortheloveofreading

My darkling Insta buddy @macabre.ex.libris tagged me for #bloodybooks, mostly as a joke because we recently agreed that I will provide the sparkly unicorns and rainbows for his feed, and he will take care of the bloody demons and sadistic killers in mine, so he wants to see if I can meet the challenge. It's an open minded and accepting #bookstagram relationship. He doesn't do selfies though, so it's entirely possible I'm being catfished by a vampire. And his feed does scare me a little. This is the least bloody of the Cormoran Strike mysteries, but the other covers were all red and black and gloomy. Totally unusable. Cormoran isn't your usual #bookboyfriend but I have such a thing for him. British boys have long been my weakness (I think it's the bad teeth and relentless self-deprecation) so that's probably part of it, but there's something else I can't articulate... As a side note: @macabre.ex.libris isn't it uncanny how the book just fanned out of my beach bag like this next to a tonally complementary, yet not obviously matching, grey marl pashmina and Breton top?πŸ˜‰ #jkrowling #robertgalbraith #cormoranstrike #thecuckooscalling #jervisbay (I'm tagging a few people who will have books that fit the description, as well as a few who will probably have to get creative.)

2/3 Step two: visit Boo Book on Owen. It's teeny tiny, but the owners are a retired librarian and an ex-school teacher, so the selection is expertly edited. Purchase a book.
