💙 A little slice of heaven in South Devon… 💙

On Friday, we had the most amazing time visiting @the_oldstable at East Portlemouth ✨

An hour spent in their gorgeous wood-fired sauna, dipping into the cold plunge pools overlooking the stunning Salcombe Estuary… and yes, we even braved a dip in the estuary itself! 🥶🌊

We finished off with a beautiful glass of rosé, watching the boats drift by and the world go by around us. 🥂⛵

The perfect way to spend time with the girls, slow down, switch off and soak up just how beautiful this part of Devon really is. 💙

This is just a 15 minute drive from @thesnugatno40 to Salcombe and then catch a ferry ride over to East Portlemouth.

S A L C O M B E | top foodie spots!

@gararockhotel we treated ourselves to a champagne lunch. My gosh the combination of dreamy sea views, champagne and the mussel flatbread. Oh. My. God.

@therockfishuk everyone recommended this place to us and it seriously lived up to its rep. The freshest fish and top notch service.

@crabshedsalcombe YUM!! Just everything about this place is special. A must visit for seafood lovers.

@the_oldstable & @village_farm_cafe both perfect pit-stops when walking in East Portlemouth. We visited both for coffees and sweet treats as well as a much needed sauna session over looking the harbour.

@salcombedairy The Banoffee flavour was the BEST!

Salcombe to Gara Rock Hotel ~ Easy Walk ⛱️

I just wanted to show you just how easy it is to visit @gararockhotel from Salcombe in under an hour.

I’m so pleased to be artist in resident for 2026 @gararockhotel and I wanted to share with you the walk I recently did with my eight and ten year old plus an eight month old puppy 🐾 from Salcombe.

Start at ‘The Ferry Man Inn’ to catch the ferry 🚣 to East Portlemouth. It’s around 3 mins long and not expensive.

Grab a coffee and pastries at @the_oldstable 🥐

The quickest option is to turn right at the top of the slipway and follow the road, but if the tide is out, you can walk along the beach to Mill Bay, which is beautiful. 🌊

Once you arrive at Mill Bay you will see a cafe on your right, there is also public toilets here. If you’d like to take the coastal route head right. But please be aware it’s very uneven ground, beautiful but it’s only for capable walkers.

Turn left and head up the hill through the carpark.

After 15-20 mins you will arrive at the carpark for gara rock beach. Turn right

Follow the hill down towards Gara Rock Hotel.

You have arrived 🫶 in under an hour.

Gara Rock Hotel is open to non residents so please enjoy the drinks, lunch, sun downers and off course the art. 🖼️

I loved seeing the changing views of Salcombe on our evening walks. So many visiting yachts and the gorgeous greens of East Portlemouth. 💚

August was mostly spent at my favourite place; on the water! Probably the best way to spend a day in Salcombe. ⛵️

A great date night at The Old Stable to enjoy their alfresco dining and panoramic views.
We even did a giveaway together! 🥰

Finding new spots in East Portlemouth, stopping to enjoy the view and appreciate that this is home. 4.5 years and it’s still not sunk in, I doubt it ever will! 🩵

Evening walks met with a cheeky look followed by “Shall we grab a drink? Just the one!” Somehow always seems to be a Tuesday too! 😅🍹

The best evenings and gorgeous sunsets! 🌅

A few ice creams but not nearly enough!
I don’t think you can beat buying an ice cream and strolling through town. 🍦😍
