Another runderful @run_ofakind in Brum 🧡👟 Thanks to the lovely group of 7 city explorers who joined me 🫶

These tours happen once a month on a Sunday morning. Culture + running + getting your 10k in 👌 A relaxed jogging pace (around 6.30 min KMs but we tailor to the group) with 10 stops for a few minutes of Brum tales.

AND something you don’t realise until you’re out there… how different the city centre feels on a Sunday morning. The night before has faded, the streets are slowly waking up, the sunshine is spilling across the buildings, and there’s a calm, kind of magical atmosphere before the city gets going again. ☀️🏙️

A pretty special way to see Brum 🧡

When asked what their one word describe Brum would be at the end, our runners said...

Hilly 😅
Invention 💭
Busy 🐝
Romantic (industry) 🛠️🫶
Forgotten 😧
Industrious 👩‍🏭👩‍🔧👷‍♀️👩‍💼
Curry 🍛
Changing ⏩

What would yours be? Book your place on Eventbrite. See bio links.

Finally got my ass to this one! 🌳👟🍑 As a Birmingham gal it's taken me far too long to get around to it...years it's been on the to do list! Also had a walk around the Elan Valley to-scale sculpture, another first I've been meaning to do for ages!
Slightly overactive imagination today re the killer robo-swans 😆 So glad I'm not working on Saturday mornings now so I can enjoy park running again 🫶

As we get older, our bodies need cardio and strength training. One protects the heart, the other protects our muscles and bones. Together, they help us stay strong, steady and capable for years to come.

Always fun to try a new parkrun 🌳👟☀️

It's been ages since I tried a new #parkrun location. Lichfield is where I grew up in my teens to early 20s. My cousin lives there now and is absolutely smashing his parkrun times lately so it was nice to have a run meet. We ran our own races... I wanted to go easier, no PB attempts for me on this one for various readiness reasons...but the main one being that I like to suss out new locations first.

Two lap course, paths and light trail.

He got his PB ⚡⚡⚡

Post run coffee at The Daily Grind... love a pun in a business name 😃☕

Post run scones 😋

Cappuccino ☕ and OJ 🍊

Post run email stats. A great thing about doing parkrun is getting this email.

What a night! 🌙✨

We had no idea there was going to be an eclipse when we planned our yoga special a few weeks ago, but it couldn’t have worked out any better.

Yoga has always had strong links to both the sun and the moon, steeped in thousands of years of history, so moving through a slow, gentle flow as the sky changed from light to dark felt pretty magical 😍

And it was so lovely to have families and friends join us at the end to watch something so special together. 💚

A real pinch-me moment in my yoga journey tonight. Feeling very grateful for everyone who came and shared it with me. 🧘‍♀️🌙 And a big thank you to @the_peachy_pt for inviting me & organising such a lovely evening 🧡💚

On Wednesday 12 August we're embracing one of nature's most incredible spectacles with a Peachy Eclipse Yoga special.

Outdoor yoga is always very special but this one...this is literally once in a lifetime!

As the Moon passes in front of the Sun, we'll enjoy a gentle outdoor yoga flow in the outdoors led by the wonderful @kryssi_fit 🧘🏼‍♀️

We'll be finishing our practice just as the eclipse reaches its maximum at 7:11pm.🌒🎑💫

Whether you're a regular yogi or have never stepped onto a mat before, this is a chance to slow down, breathe deeply and experience something truly special beneath the evening sky.

Peachy at Parkrun 🌳👟😎 The past 2 Saturdays I've been back park running after a massive 6 month gap (was teaching a few Saturday morning classes at David Lloyd for the first half of the year and then my wedding in early July)

I've absolutely loved getting my Saturday mornings back to myself this past 2 weeks, spending them in the @parkrunuk community.

Even though there's LOTS of people I like parkrun for how you still get to RUN SOLO, headphones on and at your own pace.

That's how many people like to go round the 5k course. Introversion mixed with a bit of extraversion.

PEACHY RUN CLUB

I offer a weekly run group on Monday nights in the Olton area. There are lots of community run clubs nowadays, mine is small and humble, been going since 2021 with my PT clients and participants of #peachyinthepark. Often it's just 3 to 6 of us. I'd love to grow it a bit bigger now I've got more capacity. A run club of 10 to 20 people would be plenty. I can split people in to ability pairs and small break out groups when it's bigger.

If you like running then, like #parkrun, my sessions provide

🌳 Accountability to turn up
👟 Inspiration from others
😎 Feeling good for it all afterwards

But you also get 🏃🏻‍♀️ coaching tips 🏃🏼‍♂️ and the opportunity to ask questions about anything from pacing, running form to injuries/niggles.

MEET UPS

Peachy Run Club meets Monday nights each week and there's also a MONTHLY run meet at Tudor Grange Park hosted by @btpsolihull #bostonteaparty 🫖🫖🥐 🍰🥑 on the first Sunday of each month (next Sunday) which has been going since January 2025. We grab coffee, cake, brunch in their lovely cafe after. They offer bag drop and loo beforehand too 👌

FOR BEGINNERS

I put on an annual couch to 5k program and regular parkrun meet ups. Next one will be autumn.

Drop a comment below or DM with what you're interested in knowing more about. Because running is amazing for the mind, body, heart and soul 🫶🍑 xxx

P.S new Peachy Running t-shirts coming very 🔜
