We may not be great at posting on Instagram, but *brushes off shoulders*... the Old House Society knows how to steward an old house. Here are just a few of our members' restoration and rehabilitation projects, big and small, from 2025 and early 2026.

If you’re unfamiliar with us, the Old House Society is a group of people around the Bay Area with an affinity for the historic places that shape our environment. A lot of these places could use some pampering after over a hundred years, and it’s not easy to find (or afford?) people who can help in the right ways.

We research and share and learn and roll up our sleeves to make sure these special homes live another 100 years and work for modern life. Some of our members are doing the work themselves, some are hiring verrrrrry carefully. Some are doing period restorations, some are blending old with new in ways that leave the history intact. Some are homeowners, some are renters who will one day steward a place of their own. Some of us dig deep into research and uncover old craft methods, and some are reviving those old crafts! We’re all sorts.

If you live in the Bay Area and this is your vibe, join us. We’re now 5 years old and over 60 members strong. Most of us banded together not knowing much, but have certainly learned together as we try to keep history alive a bit longer. It’s a fun crew 🌞

Hi! I wanted to reach out on behalf of @gnarcy.ambs. We've got some awesome jewelry lined up, and I reckon you'd be the best match to rock our latest collection of rugged accessories!

If you dig it, we'd love to hook you up with three pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – completely FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcy.ambs, and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙
