It’s been a long project but the house looks so much happier. I love how the green looks different depending on the lighting #gothcraftsman #swurbanebronze #swroycroftbronzegreen #swironore #swroycroftcopperred by @the_simple_craftsman

The house paint is ongoing but we do have a beautiful new reclaimed fir porch with wood from @thelumberbaron everything is wrapped in plastic as we’re expecting rain tomorrow but then looks like we’ll have a week or so to varnish and coat it ❤️ by @the_simple_craftsman

Still going on the outside paint prep. New porch flooring hit a snag but still excited to see this reclaimed fir installed and sealed. Also can’t wait to stop stunning my toes on it in the laundry room by @the_simple_craftsman

Still drying, but the deck clear coat is looking amazing! We still have a top rail that will be built out but so far it’s beautiful. #redwooddeck #thompsonwatersealclear #craftsmanhome by @the_simple_craftsman

FIVE! Years ago we started stripping paint inside the house. So many bigger projects took priority, and we continue with a constant reminder of a house unfinished. The laundry room work is ongoing, but it was nice to get back to the doors that belong back on their built ins. No nails were damaged in the process 😂🤣 by @the_simple_craftsman

Laundry room got a facelift. We started out just needing a new door… but there wasn’t appropriate framing (or any for that matter) and it turned into new siding, new concrete and a mini deck for the dogs to go in and out of their doggy door. by @the_simple_craftsman

Making serious progress on the siding for this side of the house. Once it’s primed we’ll hold off until the rainy season is over before picking back up. by @the_simple_craftsman

Looks like about a quarter of our porch will need to be replaced (some of it has been replaced with what looks like pine previously). Let me know of a good place for 3 1/4” reclaimed vertical grain Douglas fir! @placemakersinc ? by @the_simple_craftsman

Next house project: Joining the house paint stripping party. Overall finding the wood to be in good shape, just some loose nails and paint failure. The hardest part will be finalizing colors by @the_simple_craftsman

Not a very glamorous post but electric is updated and we finally have it run to the garage. There was originally some knob and tube run through the oak tree to the garage and that is wild… now we just need to close some of the old holes in the siding and start prep for paint by @the_simple_craftsman
