In celebration of Ostara and the return of Spring, I thought I'd do a little 🌸 Spring Awakening Book Tag 🌸

🌱 Snowdrop: a book that got you out of a reading slump
I don't really have reading slumps, but should I find myself in such a situation, I would reach out to a "guilty pleasure" book: pure enjoyment, no deep thinking required. And this for me is the Dream Harbor series by Laurie Gilmore

💜 Wild Violet: an underrated book
The Daughter of No World trilogy by Carissa Broadbent. Every romantasy fan seems to have read her Crown of Nyaxia series but her other trilogy is not so popular although it's really great!

🏵️ Daffodil: a book that cheered you up
The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong. I loved the found family in this one

🌷 Tulip: a plot twist that surprised you
The plot twist towards the end of Assistant to the Villain really had me WAIT WHAT?!

🌸 Cherry Blossom: a book you read in one sitting
Not in one sitting but very fast: Namesake by Adrienne Young, fast paced and super addictive

🪻 Bluebell: a fantasy world that you loved
Plein Ciel by Siècle Vaelban, a unique fantasy world inspired by the backstage of an opera theater

💮 Forget-Me-Not: a book you read years ago that has stayed with you ever since
Loveless by Alice Oseman. This book made me feel seen and I wish it existed when I was a teen

❓ What's your favourite flower?

I tagged a few bookish friends (no pressure 🤍) but if you aren't tagged and would like to do it too, please feel free!

Winter stack!

Do you have any dreams that you wish would come true this year?

Last week I made one of my biggest dreams come true - to skate on a frozen lake! Please swipe to see my photos. There was a lot of snow in the forest and around my cabin last week (I love spending time there even in winter) and everything is still frozen. I haven't seen such winter for years. And I was finally able to take my skates to the forest and skate in that magical place!

Also, I've tagged some friends to do this #winterstack challenge. And if you're seeing this, consider yourself tagged!

Have you read any of these?

I'm currently reading and loving The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches. I read Good Spirits in December. And Prince's Gambit is one of my all-time favorite epic books!

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA’LL 🎄🎅🏻☃️🎁

I have never done one of these before but as it’s Christmas I wanted to share the love! 😘

I never thought when I started this book account that I would yap away to people on the internet, or even make friends, but I’ve surprised myself and been super lucky to ‘meet’ some really awesome people ♥️

𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮 ✨

Thank you @tempting_fantasy_reads for tagging me in the reader challenge, I really enjoyed doing this one!

𝓜𝓸𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓻 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰?
Evening. I’m a night owl so personally think there’s nothing better than snuggling up with a book after a long day

𝓐𝓾𝓭𝓲𝓸𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓸𝓻 𝓮𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴?
This is a tough one, but I think ebook. I do enjoy audiobooks a lot, but I mostly listen to them in tandem to reading a physical or ebook

𝓕𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓸𝓻 𝓷𝓸𝓷-𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷?
Fiction. Although I do read non-fiction, fiction has and will always have my heart

𝓟𝓪𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴 𝓸𝓻 𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴?
Another toughie! A floppy paperback for reading, a pretty hardback for the shelves 🤭

𝓝𝓮𝔀 𝓸𝓻 𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓮?
I’m a sucker for a new release, not that I’ll necessarily read it straight away

𝓔𝓶𝓸𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓸𝓻 𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂?
Emotional. Hit me in the feels

𝓢𝓲𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 𝓸𝓻 𝓷𝓸𝓲𝓼𝓮?
I’d say 80% of the time noise, 20% silence

𝓑𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓶𝓪𝓻𝓴 𝓸𝓻 𝓭𝓸𝓰 𝓮𝓪𝓻?
Bookmark, even if I can’t find mine half the time, I’d rather use whatever is near me as a bookmark than dog ear

Tagged a few of you that I thought might enjoy this challenge, but as always no pressure 🖤

𝓑𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓯𝓵𝓪𝓽𝓵𝓪𝔂 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮 🖤

playing catch up with my challenges and when I heard the new Bad Omens song it reminded me of this one @literaryland_livin tagged me ages ago and I knew it was time to finally do it

𝓐 𝓬𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮
Grave Matter, the cover is just gorgeous and very me with gothic skulls and mushrooms 🍄

𝓐𝓷 𝓪𝓾𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓻 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮
Rachel Gillig. Think you already know I adore the Shepard King duology and although I haven’t read The Knight and The Moth yet, I am hopeful that I’ll love it just the same

𝓐𝓷 𝓕𝓜𝓒 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮
Auren from The Plated Prisoner series. I love how she goes from being a naive manipulated captive to an absolute force to be reckoned with

𝓐𝓷 𝓜𝓜𝓒 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮
I’ve already used The Plated Prisoner series or I would have said Slade, but I also love Jacks from The Ballad of Never After, what can I say I have multiple book boyfriends 🤭

𝓐 𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓘 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮
The Poisoner. I’m still obsessed with this book and cannot wait to get my hands on I.V. Ophelia’s next books. Strongly believe she will become an auto-buy author for me, in a way she already is as I’ve already decided I want them all

𝓐 𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 ‘𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮’ 𝓲𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓽𝓲𝓽𝓵𝓮
cheating on this one a little bit or you could say I’m being clever with it, but I chose Foxglove as it does technically have the word love in the title and I couldn’t find one with the actual word

Tagged a few of you to join in, but as always no pressure at all 🫶🏻

Did you hear about the girl who lives in delusions?! Yeah hi besties it’s me.. I am the problem.

Honestly this is yet another very random & chaotic post about my hyperfixations. If you relate to even one then we are friends 🤝 I don’t make the rules, or maybe I do. Don’t put me in charge, it would be utter and absolute MAYHEM!

I don’t know who started this so 🎩 off to them.

And when they ask me “abs or bicep?” The only way I will always answer that question is men written by women. (Nobody has asked me that just yet but one day they will and I’ll be ready)

Anyways my brain is no longer braining. I was going to do a book related caption but that’s not happening. So here are some of my recent reads that are all, in my humble opinion ♾️⭐ and BEYOND! Go and enjoy the emotional damage.

• Hidden Goal @michellecarrero.writes
• Beautiful Venom
• The Legacy of Ophelia @bynicoleplatania
• City of Smoke an Brimstone @kaylaedwardsauthor
• Chasing Shelter @catherinecowlesauthor
• Trick Play @lashaw.author
• A Wraith Beneath the Tides - currently reading and LOVING it

Tell me about some upcoming releases you are excited for!

• Thorns and Fire @helenscheuerer
• The Primal of Blood and Bone (been waiting for this!)
• Between Soul and Vessel @jaclyn.kot
• Blood of the Lost Gods @authorjessicajayala
• Secret Haven
• Breathe With Me @beckamack.author
+ probably a hundred more

Okay now I am really done. ILYSM.

Going back to watching edits of Stray Kids and KPDH 😈
