✨It's #ReadPalestineWeek 🍉and until the 5th of Dec you can download more than 30 ebooks for free at 'Publishers for Palestine' (go to the link in their bio 🔗). There's poetry, fiction, nonfiction and more. I downloaded quite a few, and I also bought a few others, like The Hundred Years' War on Palestine, which I've started reading already. It's so important for us to keep learning and speaking up for the silenced. ❤️

Let's keep spreading awareness and info, emailing/calling, protesting, learning and helping any way we can. 🍉

A lot of us feel helpless with everything that's been happening, but even things like posting, sharing, learning, help. 🍉❤️

Not feeling very post-y these days but popping on here quickly to remind you there's a bookish Watermelon 🍉 fundraiser going on this month organised by @berniesbookcorner and @camilla_reads and a book bingo wishlist giveaway! ❤️✨

What are you currently reading/watching? How was your weekend? 📚

One of my current reads is Grim Tidings, and I'm loving it so far 😍🔪🪽

Spent a few days in Cambridge and London visiting a uni friend, and we went on a lovely autumnal walk, went to see the Heated Rivalry Parody musical (so so good and so funny 🔥), strolled around London, went to a protest 🍉, and also introduced a friend to Glee (it has NOT aged well at all, I must say 😵‍💫 but it brings nostalgia and great songs 🎶) and went to an emo housewarming party!

What was your last 5 star read and why? 📚

"You are everything I dreamed of in the temple when I dreamed of freedom."

Coming at you with my latest 5 star read (plus I'm still in time for Sapphic September 😎) 🌟

When the author ML Wang released this short novel for free on their newsletter, I didn't expect this to become one of my favourite reads of the year.

💎BLURB: Three years after losing her family, Chi is now one of the wives of the most powerful gemlord in the lands. She accompanies the convoy in charge of escorting her husband's newest bride home, when they are attacked. Chi and Sangya find themselves on their own while trying to get back and not get k!lled.🗡️

It was a beautiful read and it's made me so excited for more books in this world, as this one functioned more as a prequel to a new series. It worked perfectly well on its own and flowed well, with good pacing, so many exciting twists and turns, complex characters I hope to see more of and a gorgeous slow-burn sapphic romance. Chi and Sangya have my heart ❤️ and tbh I loved Ataal and how much he wanted to see everyone in his family happy, despite the arrangements he sometimes had to go through.

Will defo be reading more of ML Wang, starting with Blood Over Bright Haven. Has anyone read any of this author's books? 📚🗡️

Last, current and next read? 📚

Helloooo, I'm back (again)! Just wanted to share my August holiday haul, my new book lanterns my mum got me, and some new apartment pics (peep Charlie 🐕), including my new book nook. I'm deffo trying to get into more cosy, autumnal vibes (even tho I know it's not officially autumn for another few days), but the 30 degree weather is really throwing a spanner in the works 😭🥵

I've also started watching Outlander and Interview with the Vampire to help with the cosy feels and vibes 😂🍂🦇🧛🏼‍♂️

What's on your tbr for September? Excited for any new releases (bookish or otherwise?) 📚📺

I'm excited for the Love Hypothesis movie and for Empire (new book in the Heir/Ember in the Ashes series) 🔥

🍂 Happy September 1st! I know technically it's still summer for another two weeks but I'm so ready for autumn, I just wish it would cool down here, it's still so hot 😭😭

I feel York is a perfect autumnal town, with major dark academia vibes, and it was one of the various places we visited in August on our trip, so here are some pics!Obviously had to visit a bookstore (Topping & Company) and I bought the new Six of Crows short story, Letters from Ketterdam, which I've already started reading. It has some gorgeous art inside! 😍

We explored the minster and the historical town, went on a ghost tour, ate lovely food and bought some ghosties from York Ghost Merchants 😍👻

Last pic is an example of some of the photos my mum took of me 😂😂😂

Last, current, next read? How are you liking your reads? ❤️

Will be sharing a few more posts from my England trip now that I'm back in the awful Roman heat and humidity so I don't get too depressed 😂 ft. My gorgeous Vintage Classics edition of Wuthering Heights! 😍

⛪📚 Another literary stop: Haworth, hometown to the Brontë sisters for most of their (short) lives, and inspiration for their works, especially Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. You can see the living room where the three sisters would write, the famous moors, and the church and graveyard right next to their father's parsonage.

So many lovely streets, buildings and shops in Haworth, including The Cabinet of Curiosities, which gave me all the witchy vibes I've been craving (especially in this heat, I'm ready for autumn!), helped by the moody weather that day! 🍂🧹

🚂We also got the diesel train (steam trains weren't running because of fire risk) from the historical station, which has been used as a filming location for various films! 🚂

✒️ Charlotte, Emily and Anne had a pretty awful life tbh (TW: mentions of death and illness ahead): they lost their mother when Anne was born, their two eldest sisters died as children from tuberculosis, then their brother died from alcohol poisoning in his early thirties, then both Emily and Anne died of tuberculosis, and then Charlotte died of cancer a year after her marriage while pregnant. Their father outlived everyone 😕 no wonder all of their stories and poems cover heavier topics and grief! ✒️

Do you like Jane Austen's novels or any adaptations of her works? Do you read classics or do you prefer contemporary novels? 📚

Took me a while, but here are some snippets of my day at Chatsworth House (Mr Darcy's home in the Pride and Prejudice movie from 2005) a few days ago! Absolutely stunning art and decor inside, and the grounds and gardens are gorgeous (though it's a shame that the grass is so yellow after this awful heat 😢).

I've been wanting to visit for years and it did not disappoint! I took sooo many pictures and videos (shout out to my mum for being my videographer 😂) so it was pretty hard to narrow it down for this reel 😂😍

(Also, my first reel in ages and my first attempt at a reel like this ever 👀😬😂)

Do you like buying multiple or special editions of books? Do you take books with you, or buy any, when traveling? 📚🧳

Hi everyone! Thought I'd start sharing some pics of my holiday while I'm still traveling, and a few days ago we visited beautiful Whitby (inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, especially the abbey), Robin Hood's Bay, a gorgeous little town with amazing sea views, and busy Scarborough (tho we spent little time here before moving onto Whitby and RHB)!

I'm a month late but I wanted to share a few photos from my trip to visit @sun.in.her.eyes in Cambridge back in early July, starting with the stunning Wren library of Trinity College 😍 we explored loads, went punting, ate great food (and a lot of ice cream), and it was veeery hot, and we also went down to Dover (to the castle and beach), to a My Chemical Romance concert in London and to see Anglesey Abbey (an abbey transformed into a house in the 1900s)! 😍

Last 5 star read? 🌟
