🎬 The hardest part of filmmaking? Telling the story honestly.

At the Catalina Film Festival, @theamandagreer & @helloitsdnice talk about the challenges of directing, acting, and portraying addiction on screen and what it takes to create a performance that feels real.

🎭 Real stories. Real challenges. Real filmmaking.

What do you think makes an on-screen portrayal truly authentic?

What a night! It’s been a hot minute since I got out from behind my computer & got dressed up for a red carpet and @chaintheatrenyc is always a great time 🔥

Loved seeing @theabbeystories founders @helloitsdnice & @theamandagreer ! Two amazing women entrepreneurs, actors & creators! Who have a killer film in the festival next Friday & @jessica_sherr , a powerful actress, writer, producer & embodiment of Bette Davis! So fantastic to be surrounded by such talent & good vibes! 😎

Among many things, I’m an actor, showrunner & singer-songwriter 🎶

And it’s always thrilling to support filmmakers with my original music 🎹

I’m honored to have two of my never before heard songs in $13, a film by @melissadirectherfilm & @pennyjackso_

I love having my music in indie project & especially love supporting female filmmakers!

It was also a treat to see fellow music artists @loukingcomposes who’s crushing it this year, scoring close to a dozen projects!

And as always, a joy to see the very talented @jackmulcahythe3rd , who’s busier than ever, with a slew of acting projects, along with the film he was a producer on, playing at Chain Film Fest! 🎞️

This is what it’s all about! Getting together, outside of work, outside of the everyday grind, Turing off mainstream media & putting on your film badges and supporting your fellow creatives!

Wanna support your local NYC filmmakers & a kickass theater & film venue that gives so much back to the entertainment community?
