Here it is! The moment we learned we received a Southeast Emmy nomination for, “Late Night with Rita Brent”! This made the sleepless nights, early mornings, tears, financial sacrifices, persistence, and self-belief all worth it! Regardless, victory is ours!

We’re ready to do it bigger and better for Season 2! May 15 & 16 at Capri Theater, let’s celebrate the Mississippi way!

I can’t hold it any longer! “Late Night with Rita Brent,” is nominated for its first Southeast EMMY award, y’all! I was shocked after we won our first Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Award, now THIS!! WE DID THIS!! Thank you ALL for selling out every show in Season 1 then watching the show on Sundays on FOX 40 News - WDBD! We are making major noise in the industry and we’re just getting started! I can’t believe a casual conversation between me and @bamitchellswap / @alistcreativemedia has led to this, BUT GOD!

I hope we win, but I am grateful and encouraged either way! See y’all May 15 & 16 for the kickoff of Season 2 at Capri Theater! Let’s GROW! #latenightwithritabrent #jacksonms #talkshow #mississippi

I am floored to announce that my talk show, “Late Night with Rita Brent,” won its first major award! Thank you, Mississippi Association of Broadcasters, for seeing us! This is my reminder to trust God unquestionably. While I often dream, He always has VISION!

Thank you to my entire team for dreaming, executing, and forging ahead with me! And a huge congratulations to @bamitchellswap / @alistcreativemedia for their awesome work filming and co-producing the show!

This is just one of THREE HUGE announcements. In the meantime, let’s celebrate this homegrown victory! #latenightwithritabrent

Black skin in the sun. Good music. Good conversation. Good people.

Grateful for spaces like @thirdspacejxn — where we get to gather, create, and just be in community.

There’s something about being outside, in the city, surrounded by people who are building and holding space for culture in real time.

We needed that.

Always grateful for the people I get to experience it with.

The verdict is IN! “Do the Hoochie Daddy,” is a BOP! It’s a lil’ taste of blues AND southern soul, written and performed by a true Mississippian— yours truly! Hoochie daddies, it’s YOUR season, and this is your anthem! Hoochie daddy eligibility? Wearing your shorts above the knees, with kneecaps and thigh meat in sight! 😂 This song is available NOW on ALL digital music platforms! Download/ buy / share! (DJs, holler at me for this track!) #reels #hoochiedaddy #ShareThisPost #reelsfb #summer #enjoy #dance #shorts #indiemusic #southernsoul #summerjam #summervibes #blues #fypシ #fypviral #Mississippi #sendstarstosupport #shortsvideos #share #ritabrentcomedy #tagafriend Artwork: @thealexiscee ❤️🔥

SLIDE 9: My YouTube videos upload faster outside, so I watch the sunset while it does its thing now and then.

SLIDE 10: Packing fits for HTX trip. My whole concept of having a country auto-mechanic look got ruined by sellers on Depop who must’ve collectively decided not to send ANY of my pieces, I guess. Got refunded though!
