One of the most rewarding aspects of organizing film festivals is the opportunity to build meaningful connections and lasting friendships along the way. Every stage of the process, from planning and coordination to the anticipation of opening day, becomes worthwhile when we see the incredible community of creative individuals these events bring together.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your passion, talent, and support inspire us to continue creating opportunities that celebrate independent film and strengthen our creative community.

What’s your favorite scary movie?

Whether it’s a classic like “Halloween” starring Jamie Lee Curtis, “The Shining” with Jack Nicholson, or a modern favorite like “Hereditary” featuring Toni Collette, there are countless horror films that have left their mark on audiences.

Maybe you’re a fan of “Scream” with Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, a “The Conjuring” devotee with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, or you prefer something a little more terrifying and unexpected.

Whatever your pick, we want to hear it. So, I’ll ask you once again: What’s your favorite scary movie, and what makes it your favorite?

We believe that the connections made between filmmakers, creatives, and film lovers can be just as meaningful as the films themselves. A conversation, a shared experience, or a simple introduction can lead to lasting friendships, future collaborations, and opportunities that continue long after the festival ends.

Some of the most influential relationships in filmmaking begin with simply being in the same room.

Film festival Q&As are about more than just answering questions. They create a unique opportunity for audiences to connect directly with the filmmakers behind the stories they’ve just experienced.

At Horror Fest Film Festival, we believe Q&As are one of the most special parts of the festival experience. They give filmmakers a chance to share the inspiration, challenges, and stories behind their films while giving audiences a deeper understanding of the creative process.

These conversations bring filmmakers and audiences together in a way that simply watching a film can’t. They create connections, spark discussions, and often become some of the most memorable moments of the festival.

Thank you to the festival team, filmmakers, and everyone who came out to talk movies and celebrate the genre we love. A few favorite moments from a weekend filled with great people and great horror!
