Day 3348 of being Vegan 👊🏽🌱💪🏽

Primal, carnivore anti-vegan bro had to use AI to make vegans look “bad”. They are disingenuous and lie all the time. They are usually homophobic, misogynistic and transphobic. Like this creator here. I’ve also noticed many of them are racist. You can see it from the comments they leave on social media and I myself have been subject to racial slurs from them.

It makes sense that they choose to live in a way which also objectifies animals and sees them as property and resources.

This creator made a frankly disgusting video not only insulting vegans but also people from the LGBTQ+ community.

We don’t stand for that here.

Plenty of Vegans out here absolutely mogging these oxygen thieves. Let’s keep showing up and showing these clowns what’s up.

Also check the full video that @davidramms on his page made taking this joker to school.

And @dr.matthewnagra ‘s video, another Vegan of colour who’s also been subjected to racist abuse at the hands of these carnivores and primal bros online.

Four years ago today, I saved my life with a dynaplug. So I got a flash tattoo at the @made.bike show from @pdv this year. My left foot was severed from my leg when I was struck from behind by an atv on 9/4/22. I didn’t have my phone on me but I was wearing some @enduraofficial 3/4 shorts and I had my purple @dynaplug racer tool as well.
.
The accident itself was a mess of sensations. The smell of exhaust. The sound of the engine. The violent spinning. Then I just sat up and saw my foot in its shiny purple shoe sitting in the dirt. The torn flesh and bone sticking out above my sock. It was like a gruesome movie I was watching. No pain, just confusion. How is that me over there? Regardless, I had to solve this problem. My phone was charging on the kitchen counter and I certainly needed help. Gotta get home.
.
So I took the webbing belt out of my shorts and tied it close to what was now the bloody end of my leg. I then slid the dynaplug racer under the belt and started twisting it as a windlass. It wasn’t until I started tightening the windlass on my tourniquet that I began to feel the pain. Each twist was like turning the volume up on my own nervous system. That shit goes up to 11.
.
When I felt like I might black out, I stopped turning and clipped the belt buckle around the dynaplug to hold it in place. Couldn’t get home if I passed out here. That would have to be tight enough. I stood up way too fast and fell over almost immediately. I grabbed my foot and hopped over to my bike. Clumsily, got myself on the saddle and pushed off. Once I got clipped in, I just pedaled as hard as I could.
.
I’m sure I fell a few times. I definitely remember falling at least once but that whole trip was a panicked blur. Unfortunately, during one of those falls, my left foot in that shiny purple shoe stayed where it fell.
.
I made it to the kitchen counter and called for help. I took a dish towel and laid down on our porch waiting for help. With what was left of my leg held high above me, I wrapped the end of my leg in that dish towel and pulled down as hard as I could. I hope no one ever feels that pain.
.
I am alive. Hope yall celebrate being alive with me today 💜

Pull Ups - One Rep Max Test 🌱💪🏽💚

So in my quest to get 1000 pull ups this month for charity, I thought I’d test my new one rep max. I haven’t done this for about 7 years. My old 1 rep max was 25kg (55lbs). I’m not a big guy, far from it, and I don’t really train for pull up strength, but thought I’d give it a crack after so long to see if I’ve gained any strength over the last 7 years of training….

To my surprise 30kg came up quick. New PR. I was happy but knew I could go for more.

40kg felt heavy dangling between my legs. But came up nicely.

50kg didn’t move 😂 think I need to focus on pull up strength training to move numbers which are over 80% of my bodyweight 👀 like I said I’m not a big man.

After making this video I saw a female calisthenics athlete do a pull up with 60kg (130lbs) so before you tell me this isn’t impressive, I don’t care (ok maybe a little)

I’m still impressed by own progress. But hungry for more.

We all should celebrate personal wins. Even being able to do a single pull up is impressive when around 95% of humans can’t even do one strict form pull up.

Still not bad for a protein deficient vegan. Imagine how much stronger I’d be if I ate meat 😂

Thank you to everyone who has donated!
