Hi, I’m Janan!

I’m a pharmacist turned publisher. In addition to being able to help consult on all things book publishing, I also love photography, podcasting, and parenting.

My undergraduate degree is in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology and I realized early on I didn’t love bench science. I went into pharmacy after having a severe allergic reaction to a sulfa drug that put me in the ICU for 2 weeks at Vanderbilt University Medical Center during my sophomore year at UTK. I almost went to Vandy on a full ride scholarship in engineering… sometimes wonder what a different life I would have had if that happened.

I have been in the publishing industry since 2014. Friends have told me I am an underdog.

I believe in:
▪️”progress over perfection”
▪️”practice makes progress” AND
▪️”There’s a book for that!”

New website for @peppermint_tuna coming soon!!

As a designer, there’s a language of listening to your client and taking their vision to the next level.

I have been working a website that represents a fresh, sustainable clothing shop in Tacoma, WA called Peppermint Tuna! It’s a boutique thrift shop with contemporary pre-loved items!

This project has been so fun to work on because I’m a customer at the shop and when you walk in, you know what the store is about! Stuff is really affordable, clean and you can try it! I want people to experience her shop online.

I took shop owner, Crystal’s message and vibe about loving our planet, reducing waste and all of the colors and energy into the website!
