It’s been so fun collaborating with my brother who lives in Sweden. I start off with a design or he does and send share the files, add some things! We wake up to something we both love! Hope y’all love it as much as we do. #cambodianheritagenight #mariners #khmerartist #khmercreator #khmerdesigner Going for the retro-vintage oversized washed look with these three colors. I love a baggy comfort shirt! Please refer to the website for most accurate colors for washed denim, oat and cream! It uses the graphics created by my bro @jherricurljohny to carry over the theme into our own designs for such a historic day for us with the Mariners! As a mom, I lovvvveee to match so made a shirt for the kids too! In the background is the beach in Koh Sanloem Srok Khmer island! It’s beautiful and if you can go, please go! The locals do it all and are so kind and fun! We love a good poster art! This poster is printed on really nice museum-grade paper and it’ll look good in your place! Progress over perfection. As a pharmacist turns UX/UI designer, the journey’s been wonderful! I am the designer and pharmacist behind @publishingindoses! I also help design for @pyrls and Cancer Center! I am from Seattle and work remotely in Seoul Korea as a pharmacist designer. Co-founded with inspiring TEDx speaker Dr. Janan Sarwar @bookjanan, we are excited to help amplify your voice through books. This is part of my story. The feeling of energy, pride and gratitude still fills me after the first-ever Seattle Mariners Cambodian Heritage Night!! To be surrounded by so many Cambodians in Seattle was epic. I don’t know how to quite put it into words what we did but I am so thankful! Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated! Thank you to everyone who shared, reposted, supported the businesses including mine. Thank you to our team who put this together and the Mariners team. The opportunity to help design the shirt, doing the socials, posters, lanyard and merch! All of it has been so incredibly fulfilling and lot of hard work! To see all the happy faces and just how proud we all are makes it all so worth it! Thank you to the team behind the event! I was unplugged off instagram from 3 months ~ even deactivated some of my accounts . ~ to tend to real life ~ create without distractions ~ remember and remind myself how to feel ALIVE from dancing all summer, to traveling to cali, and indonesia ; i had a beautiful community opp to work with @klacacademy who spearheaded the cambodian heritage night with @iamtecksavvy . big thank you to bong srey @sinasam_public & 7117 collective board member for pulling me in ! also for sophia for bringing badass bro + sis duo from WCXW$ . (soft spot for dub c because i went to roxhill and went to the og @kcskc when on 16th. got to go back to my roots of design and threw in some ideas and consult for the heritage night shirt. i advocated for the cream shirt, because you know a good white shirt will ALWAYS get dirty ... & to go simple and for everyday wear. being able to be in the beginning of this collab before i went off in my travel journey and returning to studio things, it felt like my work was needed beyond the walls of 117 cherry street. this is what i mean when i say, global GLOBAL. the planning team got the whole west side coming up for the Ms & Angels game! i'll see you at the parade with my eldest son + at the game itself with my family, friends, and 7111111117 collective. we are 85 tickets deep representing @studio.7117 ! yeee who are we? we are KHMER ! #mariners #cambodianheritagenight #klaca #studio7117 #seattlekhmer by @thearyameri

Just like life, career pivots are hard! Wheels are going squeak, you’ll have bumps along the way, but just keep going! It’s been four years since I changed careers from being a pharmacist to a UX/UI designer in health tech. I LOVE IT and I have so much flexibility including doing projects I care about! Over the last couple months, I’ve been collaborating with my bro @jherricurljohny on the Seattle Mariners Cambodian Heritage Night designs! It’s been really meaningful to also work alongside and meet the team of incredible new Khmer friends to make this happen. As a new mom and recently injured, I was consuming so much content and this helping me create more and show up more as this new me!
