📢 Attention, Berkeley students! In light of recent events and the ongoing need for accountability surrounding sexual assault, it is important that we show up for survivors and make our support visible.

As campuses across the country continue to address sexual violence, we have a responsibility to listen to survivors and work toward change in our own community.

According to UC Berkeley’s 2025 Civil Rights Annual Report, the university received 735 reports alleging sexual violence or sexual harassment in the fiscal year 2025. During the same period, the university completed 34 SVSH investigations, with 20 cases resulting in a finding of a policy violation and a sanction.

These numbers highlight the importance of continued advocacy and accountability on our campus. We urge you all to join us at the Campus Take Back the Night Rally to stand with survivors of sexual assault. 💜

📍 Location: Upper Sproul

As ASUC Senators, we wanted to share an important drug safety and harm reduction update with the Berkeley community following reporting on emerging synthetic opioids 🚨

While there is currently no evidence of cyclorphine in Berkeley, staying informed about emerging substances and available harm reduction resources is an important part of keeping our campus community safe!!

As student representatives, we encourage students and community members to review the resources included in this statement, familiarize themselves with available services, and look out for one another ♥️

It is important to note that California is a Good Samaritan Law state, a law put in place to shield individuals who render assistance to someone who is injured, ill, or in danger from lawsuits. In case you or another individual requires assistance, always dial 911 immediately!

Read the full statement for Berkeley resources, Narcan and fentanyl test strip information, and non-emergency contacts.
