What starts as an unexpected second chance on a reality TV show slowly turns into something neither of them can ignore. As they navigate their complicated history, family expectations, and the fear of being honest about what they really want, they have to decide whether their connection is worth taking a chance on.

I REALLY loved Yumi and Noelle together. Their chemistry was everything, and I loved the tension between them, especially knowing there was so much history and unresolved feelings underneath everything. The emotional buildup made their relationship feel so much more meaningful, and I loved watching them slowly let their walls down and actually be honest with each other.

I also really appreciated how messy and complicated their feelings were. There were definitely moments where I wanted to shake both of them and yell, “JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!” But at the same time, I understood why they struggled to communicate, and it made their eventual vulnerability and honesty that much more satisfying.

What better way to bring in Fall , than with a Fall Book Club . It’s been a dream of mine to throw a fall themed book club and I’m so grateful to know so many book besties because It’s truly what makes the club fun. We can’t always rely on a 5 star read 🤭. To my MVP thank you Adrian for helping your mom with her first book club 🥹🥰🫶

My grandpa, who has been following along on all my book events via photos and posts, said the past week has looked like a whirlwind and that’s truly the best word for it!!

I had the official THE GODS WILL SING OUR SONG book launch party at @bnfullerton and was absolutely humbled and blown away to have standing room only. A very touching moment was when my sister, who moderated the event, asked any camp survivors or descendants to stand. It’s a moment I’ll never forget. Getting to sign a copy for my great-aunt who was at Gila River with my grandpa and great-grandparents was also so powerful

The next day, I was at @bncostamesaca to sign TGWSOS and, within an hour, the entire store was sold out!! I had the absolute joy of having two Violet cosplays and of course had to include both their photos!! Green ribbons and pretty skirts—they were both PERFECT

Meeting readers who are descendents of the camps truly stays with me. One reader, whose photo I included here with permission, shared with me an image of her bachan who had recently become an ancestor and told me about her grandpa who had served in the 442nd, the segregated all-Japanese unit, like my great-grandpa
