Aw, bark. We missed National Dog Day! 🐾

But honestly, we couldn’t choose just one Comfort Crew member to highlight, so here’s the whole crew (so far👀).

These facility animals bring comfort, calm, and companionship to children, families, and the teams supporting them every day.

Who should we welcome into the Comfort Crew next? Tag them in the comments!🐶

Give where you live ♥️

Yesterday for Red Day, we had the opportunity to serve at the Barrie center in Gadsden, a place that truly makes a difference in so many lives. The center exists for kids and teens who are going through incredibly difficult situations whether that’s abuse loss or other traumatic experiences. It’s a safe space where they are heard and supported, and honestly having a place like this in a community is such a gift from God because no child should ever have to go through those things alone. We spent the day cleaning, trimming, pressure washing, and just pouring into this place, so it can continue to feel safe and welcoming for every child that walks through those doors.

Moments like this remind me that being a realtor isn’t just about buying or selling homes it’s about serving the community you’re apart of. I may not live in Gadsden, but I’m grateful to serve here and I’m praying and hoping to do something like this and create ways to serve my own community in Fort Payne soon☺️

To end off our North Alabama CAC “Tour,” we visited the Dekalb County Child Advocacy Center in Fort Payne, AL and the James M. Barrie Center in Gadsden, AL.

During my senior year of high school, I had my first opportunity to serve with ANCAC. I filmed a video to be played at a Dinner Theater fundraiser event for the Dekalb County CAC, and the event was a success! Now, 3 years later, I finally got to visit the center in person, so this trip was very full circle.

Barrie Center CAC had their board meeting during my visit and asked if I would share my story with both their staff and board. I shared how much my local CAC changed my life and encouraged the staff that they ARE truly making a difference!

6 Child Advocacy Centers spanning from one side of Alabama to the other in just 2 days was lots of “beep bopping” around, but I wouldn’t trade this job for anything! 💙💙💙
