A Bleachers flexi disc, that came with Beat magazine / newspaper in 2024.
The whole flexi disc is actually square, with the round recording in the middle of that sqaure.
The photograph is a visual metaphor for how Instagram only ever shows a small portion of the truth, and leaves out the bigger picture, which hides the real shape of things; for how we edit our Instagram lives, leaving out any reality that doesn’t fit.
It’s not really, it’s just a lovely colour.

‘we think we alone’ turns 8 years old today

i started making these songs at the end of 2016 at my grandparents house in queens. i would spend the days taking care of my sick grandfather, writing and teaching myself to play keys. during this time, i also really fell in love with ‘to pimp a butterfly’.

first week of 2017, just one week before grandpa passed, @pigsandplans covered the video for ‘soap’ and the rest is history. it was a lot of people’s first time seeing my name and hearing my voice. this was a very special and overwhelming time for me. i gave myself 6 months to make a project, met a lot of talented producers and artists and we made ‘we think we alone’.

this project is dedicated to my og. i’m thankful to everyone who played a part in creating this and getting it out to the world. so glad i was able to do this. thank you forever

dialing diva 📲
before moving from pittsburgh i booked a ton of shoots, compiling enough work for several months while i got myself situated on the west coast. nadia’s ~fabulous~ set was the last i had to wrap up before fully completing the enormous workload i put on myself. in some ways i feel relieved, feeling confident in the quality of art i delivered to my clients. in other ways, i feel longing for another plate full of work. i am so excited for upcoming projects here in portland and all of the ones i have while visiting pittsburgh. ☺️
