A different perspective on Uniqwa. 🤎

Rich, moody tones, layered textures and an unexpected approach to restaurant interiors. At @thebelongil in Byron Bay, interior designer @leebrennandesign brings a distinctive sense of character to the space, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and inviting.

Featuring our Hamilton Dining Chairs in African Slate & Khufu Pendants in Dark Roast, the project is a beautiful example of how furniture can take on an entirely different expression through considered styling, materiality and contrast. ✨

A reminder that great design isn’t defined by one aesthetic, but by the feeling, and memory a space creates.

Part 1 of a weekend I will remember forever 💛 An incredible collaboration between @bassphillipdistribution and Chef Shannon Bennett’s @thebelongil 🙌

On Saturday evening I had the absolute pleasure of attending the most incredible degustation dinner in the private dining room at @feu_belongil paired with an outstanding selection of champagne and wine 🔥 The evening was hosted by Bass Phillip ambassador @nedgoodwinmw, a Master of Wine, and @gregoire.salondelamotte from Champagne Salon & Champagne Delamotte 💛

The evening commenced with caviar bumps paired with Delamotte Brut NV served by the outdoor fire before being led through The Belongil’s impressive wine cellar to the private dining room at Feu 🥂 We continued with the champagne portion of the wine program with Gregoire introducing Salon 2015, arguably the world’s greatest champagne, poured alongside Delamotte Collection 2007 - both were outstanding 🍾

The evening then shifted to Bass Phillip with Ned expertly guiding us through eight vintages from this iconic Victorian winery 🙌 We started with two vintages of Bass Phillip Premium Chardonnay - 2017 & 2024 - both of which were stunning 🍇 Bass Phillip produces Australia’s most acclaimed Pinot Noir - it is hard to overstate how revered this wine is and the cult-status it holds…and for good reason, it is exceptional, the pinnacle of Australian Pinot Noir 🍷 We began with three vintages of Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir - 2014, 2018, 2024 - followed by three vintages of Bass Phillip Reserve Pinot Noir - 2008, 2019, 2021 - showcasing the difference in styles between the founder Phillip Jones and acclaimed French winemaker Jean-Marie Fourrier who took over Bass Phillip in 2020 🍇

Dining at Feu is a truly incredible experience…atmospheric and visually stunning, it is a one-of-a-kind restaurant 🔥 The food is exceptional and the venue is full of engaging experiences & surprises…watch until the end for the interactive bathroom and a peek at the hidden bar 💛 More to come…

Caught off the coast of Brisbane by Wayne James, our Pink Snapper is always local and line caught. It’s served with Café de Belongil butter, our signature curried butter sauce, and fried curry leaves.

Order it alongside our Green Salad and Spanner Crab Risotto for a full spread.
