Thank you to everyone that joined us last night for the opening of “FELICITIES” a solo exhibit by @fran.mack.art curated by @rosxtta

In true reflection of the exhibit ethos, a thread of recollection, joy, laughter, imagination, and shared nostalgia were spread throughout the gallery. The interconnections of material, moments, and community became increasingly tangible with each interaction.

We’re truly grateful for this experience and look forward to housing the exhibit and the upcoming programming.

HUEARTS NYS DOCU-SERIES in partnership with YouthFX, funded by New York State Council of the Arts (NYSCA), Museum Hue's documentary series highlights nine art organizations across New York State.

This docu-series showcases the art organization’s work and illuminates their impact within their community. Sunday reflections.
Representation matters.
Not as a crutch nor means of hierarchy.
Still a point of intentionality and inspiration.
Thankful for being seen, appreciated, and protected.

We’re excited to welcome artists and curators @mcmichaeldika and @adamsanne_ as part of the @nceca @nceca.rva 2024 conference. They will present “The Medium is The Message” group exhibition opening March 15th 5pm with NCECA occurring March 20th-23rd.

Ceramics, as a medium, has a long history in Africa and is integral to many cultural practices across the continent. Contemporary artists from the diaspora have also used ceramics to explore and comment on their experiences of migration and identity.
‘The Medium is The Message’ is an effort to have this group exhibition become a “MEDIUM” to provide insight into ceramic works of art from artists of African descent as part of the 2024 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) in Richmond, Virginia.
