@nommohouse newest exhibit, Source Materials is now open at Carroll Square Gallery in Washington DC. The exhibit considers creative practice as a living archive: the references, memories, materials, histories, and ideas we return to when making. It was cool to see some familiar names part of the exhibit and a couple of new ones. Open until November 15, 2026. taken in Washington, DC by @theblackcuration

NEW: In the Studio episode with Baltlmore-based photographer and multimedia artist, Ayana Gordon (@byayanag). In this interview, we discuss how her Antiguan-Haitian lineages have shaped her art practice, her introduction to photography, her decision not to pursue medical school to become a professional artist, and how she’s built momentum in her artistry. She also shares that on Saturday, October 3rd, she is participating in RASCAL, a citywide art scavenger hunt that turns Baltimore, Maryland into the game board. We share an exclusive look of the art that will be part of the event, so watch and enjoy! #ayanagordon #baltimoreartist #photographer #contemporayart #blackartist taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @theblackcuration
