📚 Quiet Reading Club at Marimba Cafe 📚 Thank you to everyone who joined us this week! Quiet Reading Club wouldn’t be what it is without you, and I’m so grateful for this community we continue to build together. 🫶🏼 @marimba.cafe has truly become a second home for us, and we’re so thankful for the way they welcome us and make us feel like family every time we walk through their doors. 🥹☕️ And a HUGE shoutout to my girls @thebookishblues and @nanyspurplepages ! Our meetup almost didn’t happen after I woke up Tuesday with a fever, but these two stepped in and made sure our readers still had a place to gather. I’m beyond grateful for them, not just for showing up for me, but for the amazing people they are. Love you both! 💙💜 Our next Quiet Reading Club Meetup is Tuesday, November 10th at Bergen Hall! Sign-ups go live on Eventbrite this Monday. We hope to see you there! 📚 #bookhavenbooks #popupbookstore #quietreadingclub #readingclub #indiebookstores

I had a nightmare last night… I have never met a woman who either hasn’t experience SA or doesn’t know someone who did. I remember being at a friend’s home when I was in middle school. Sitting in a circle with our friends. And every girl in the circle had a story. A family friend, an uncle, a cousin, a father… The Cornell R@pists aren’t the first monsters to do something like this. There are countless women who go through this. Every. Day. Hold them accountable. Share their names. Don’t let them fucking breathe easy. #ladyblue

This is what community is all about. A huge thank you to @bookhavenbooks and Bitter Berries Book Club for bringing this beautiful little afternoon to life with us. And thank you to everyone who pulled up a chair, talked books and made a new connection. More of this, always. 💗📖✨

Ohhhh Bookcon …. How I have a love/hate relationship with you now. I went to one bookcon pre-covid and had the best time! I was excited to hear it was coming back and then that excitement turned to slight disappointment. I thought I knew what to expect size wise from previous years, but was surprised to see they only had like 1/3 of the Javits …. Like what?! They definitely oversold for the space they had and should’ve never dropped more tickets after the initial drop. It would’ve probably been a much more enjoyable experience. Also I get romantasy is hot right now but like damn, other genres exist 😒 Besides all that I had as much of a great time as I could with two amazing ppl! And I met such great authors whose books I can’t wait to read ☺️ Will I do it again next year? Yea probably, but I’ll spend way more time down in Indie Alley than anywhere else 💜 #bookcon #bookcon2026 #booksbooksbooks #books #bookstagram

Vejigante Mask Reveal! 💙 Over the last 5 weeks, I’ve been sharing over on @whathappenedtothebees that I’ve been taking a Vejigante Mask class with local JC artist @eileenruthsanchez at the Biblioteca Criolla at @jclibrarynj ! It was such a great class that allowed me to connect even more with my Caribbean roots. If you’re local follow Eileen Sanchez and stay tuned for updates on her next class! And if you’re not, give her a follow anyway! This mask was a journey of patience with myself and getting to create art in a way I hadn’t explored yet. And of course, I had to make it blue. ✨💙 Support your local artists and libraries! #ladyblue #thebookishblues #latinacontentcreator #latinxbookstagram #supportyourlocallibrary
