okay why did the start of this story board come straight out of the abyss after eating a soggy turkey sandwich. I promise this project is not gonna be as depressing as it looks. very much so the opposite actually. I think I’ve finally got the words to say and the fact it came after eating a sandwich of all things is quite laughable. heck idek if I’ll end up showing it when it’s done but it will be made and that’s what matters!! #storytelling #visualjournal #mentalhealth

Thank you to everyone who came out last night and our artists for making this a legendary event! We raised over $1,100 for the club. We hope to have another Naturalists Gallery next year!

Some of my works were featured in the Field Naturalists Society Gallery! Feeling so lucky to be surrounded by so many (scientifically) wonderful artists and creators. Here’s to my second work sold!

What The Collectors Witness, sculpture
Ethically sourced wood, coral, and shell from Ireland

The River Birch that Barks, acrylic on canvas
Painting done at Sandy Creek Nature Preserve the day I committed to UGA!

Special thank you to @fieldnaturalistsociety and everyone who helped make this event run smoothly!

I’ve been feeling quite thankful lately. I’m finding myself feeling thankful for little things like flowers blooming, a tide pool reflecting the sunrise, a dolphin swimming by, or even my dog not eating my shoe. I’m increasingly thankful for a secure and healthy love I’ve dreamed of since I was a little kid. And of course, I’m thankful for my not-so-little little sister, who reminds me to be goofy and always take pictures.

I hope today you’ll challenge yourself to find 3 small things to be thankful for. I love you! Go make today an awesome day.
