Lunch plans next Tuesday? I’ve got an invitation for you!

Betting on yourself is one thing. But what happens when the results don’t look like you expected? When priorities compete, responsibilities pile up, and you have to figure out your next move?

That’s where the real conversation begins.

Join me for Tipsy Tuesday Live with Dr. Tammira Lucas—serial entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, professor, and founder of The Cube Cowork, the nation’s largest Black woman-owned coworking space.

We’re going beyond the success story to talk about what it actually takes to keep going: navigating setbacks, making tough decisions, managing competing priorities, building systems and support, and knowing when it’s time to recalibrate.

Because betting on yourself is a decision. Sustaining that bet takes a strategy.

Tuesday, October 27 | 12 PM ET

We’re LIVE directly on my LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

Grab your lunch, bring your questions, and join us. And tag someone who should be part of this conversation!

#AboutLastNight ✨
Being dependable is a strength. But if your business depends on you for everything, it is fragile.

Last night at @coppinstateuniversity, I led the WELD cohort—Women Entrepreneurs Leading with Dollars and Decisions—in a conversation about what growth requires of us as women business owners.

For many of us, leadership was never theory. It was necessity. We learned to anticipate, protect, solve, and carry.

Then carrying everything became how we measured our value.

We talked about how delegation can feel like raising children. You want them to become capable and independent.🌱Yet being needed less can leave you wondering where you fit.💛

Your value does not disappear when someone else becomes capable. Your role grows.

And boundaries?

“Boundaries communicated once are announcements. Boundaries held under pressure are boundaries.”

🔸 Thank you to the women who brought their honesty into the room; @thebusinessdr for the invitation; @tishaedwards1913, President and CEO of the Maryland Bankers Association, for supporting this work; and Jaden Gross, entrepreneurship intern extraordinaire, for the behind-the-scenes footage!🎥

As a @morganstateu graduate, Coppin felt familiar. And even in grief and transition, I thank God for continuing to place me where I am needed.🙏🏾

“You have already proven you can carry it. Now build a business that can carry your vision without requiring your exhaustion.”💁🏾‍♀️💼👠

There’s a fine line between being strategic and talking yourself out of an opportunity.

It’s October. How many of the goals you set for 2026 are still sitting in the planning phase?

As leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs, we’re accustomed to evaluating risks, weighing options, and thinking through potential outcomes. And while that’s important, sometimes we spend so much time calculating our next move that we never actually make one.

The reality? Wanting something different and making the decisions necessary to create it are two very different things.

That’s why this month on Tipsy Tuesday, we’re talking about what it really takes to Shoot Your Shot.

First up:

1. Get clear on your target.
2. Choose your first move.
3. Take the shot.

Because you can’t create a different outcome by continuing to make the same decisions.

Have a big move you’ve been contemplating? Sometimes an outside perspective can help you get unstuck. If you’re ready to think through your next move, let’s connect.

And mark your calendar for October 27 12PM ET, when I’ll be joined by @thebusinessdr - Tammira Lucus for a special Tipsy Tuesday Live. We’re talking about betting on yourself, what it looks like in practice, and what it takes to actually pull it off.

Follow the series throughout October, and share this with someone who’s ready to make their next move drop a comment about a move you’re trying to make.

Somebody has the idea. They just need help figuring out what comes next.

That’s why we keep doing this work.

Our **$10 for 10 years campaign** helps The Cube Cowork continue providing free entrepreneurship programming, because the cost of getting support shouldn’t be what keeps someone from getting started.

Will you put $10 behind someone’s next step?

Give through the link in our bio and share this post with someone who believes in opening doors for entrepreneurs.

Thank you for having me, Coppin State University. I loved spending time with this cohort of entrepreneurs talking about leadership, values, and building with intention.

Leading both an agency and a nonprofit has taught me that leadership is never one-size-fits-all. Different missions require different approaches, but knowing your values makes every decision clearer.

What I loved most was hearing their ideas, questions, and perspectives. I left just as inspired by this cohort as I hope they were by our conversation. There’s something really special about being in a room with people who are actively figuring out what they want to build and the kind of leaders they want to become.

The Creators Summit 2026 !! 💕✨

My fourth year at The Creators Summit, but my FIRST year showing up with my own nonprofit, Meet H.E.R., providing FREE non-invasive breast exams to women in this special community. That full-circle moment is not lost on me. 🥹

To my partner, @candiceobeauty 🥹, thank you for building, believing, and doing this work alongside me. @touchbbca you are the reason we are able to show up and do this work every year - thank you! And to every friend, community partner, and woman who stopped by, supported us, shared our mission, or received an exam, THANK YOU. This is what it looks like to truly Meet H.E.R. where she is. 🤎

A very special shoutout to First Lady @thehanascott of Baltimore for coming through and receiving her first breast exam with @meetherorg! Thank you for continuing to show up, support, and advocate for women’s health!

And congratulations to my friend @eringoldson on providing the inaugural Vineyard Icon Awards sponsorship! You never cease to amaze me. Keep going, my friend. ✨

And @itsmiajdavis … MAJOR flowers to you. 💐 Thank you for creating a space where women can connect, build, collaborate, and grow. Watching what you’ve built over the years and seeing it get better every single year is incredible. And the fact that I would have never met my partner Candice without YOU makes this moment even more special.

Years of relationships. Years of building. Years of showing up. And now, Meet H.E.R. gets to be part of the story. 💕

We’re just getting started.

A beautiful reminder that sisterhood truly extends beyond the rooms we step into. 💐
I’ve stepped into so many rooms, connected with so many amazing people, and experienced so many different spaces, but there is something so special about the ongoing sisterhood and love within our sorority communities.
It was such a pleasure to be pampered, celebrated, and surrounded by so much genuine love from the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. ❤️🐘
I’m especially grateful for the familiar faces who made the day even more special.
Love you, Dr. Lucas! 💐 It was also such a pleasure seeing you again and having the opportunity to speak with you, Councilwoman Phylicia Porter.
I truly appreciate all of the love, prayers, support, and encouragement surrounding my baby girl and me during this beautiful chapter. Genesis is already so loved, and I’m beyond grateful for everyone who continues to pour into us.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️👣🎀

Building a business is one thing. Building an ecosystem where other entrepreneurs can thrive is another.

Dr. Tammira Lucas has done both. As Founder of The Cube Cowork, Maryland’s first coworking space created to support parents and entrepreneurs, she transformed a 1,200-square-foot vision into a 15,000-square-foot commercial property rooted in access, ownership, and legacy.

Dr. Lucas is also a professor at Coppin State University and Director of its Center for Strategic Entrepreneurship, where she helps prepare the next generation of founders and business leaders to build sustainable ventures.

On September 19, she’ll join The Financial Reset at the Color Vision Creators Summit for a candid conversation about money, business, ownership, and building for the long term.

Meet her in Washington, D.C. with @thecolorvision. Link in bio.
