I’m on the hunt for the next wave of talent in digital and time based media. Artists that will define our moment in time, and be remembered fondly by history.

I would love to fold this new layer of talent into the fabric of Chicago’s Miracle Mile.

DM me with specific examples of work you think could fit our program and I can send our specs.

Much love to you all, and

Ruminated Spaces No.5

This piece uses the invisible motion of noise field equations to move and affect the size of the strands composing the cube.

This makes me ponder on the invisible waves all around us, electromagnetic and humming, transmitting insurmountable amounts of information and data. we can’t see them, yet we are moved by them.

These waves comb over us and through us, and we need portals to receive them. I wonder: What else lies in the invisible ?

Another thought for today :)

Art for @thecanopyat900 now live at 900 N Michigan Shops.

Art is gratitude!

Being a digital artist has been a crazy journey, taking me from my basement studio to the skies of 900, and it’s still giving 🥲

This would not have been possible without the amazing team at @thecanopyat900 and all of my friends who have believed in me throughout the years, and for you I’m so grateful.

Also, I’m beyond proud to be an @blender.official artist, because Blender 3d is the DEFINITION of a community effort empowering individuals. Blender is a project that is developed by a community of engineers and artists, and it’s free, FOREVER! Thanks to this beautiful tool, I’ve been able to grow to where I’m at now. We need more of that in the world !

Come to The Canopy at 900 N Michigan Shops to check out this piece, and please let me know what you think!

Ruminated Space No.3

This rumination is specially sensory for me. The spheres floating and untethered by the laws of gravity remind me that within our minds is a limitless world, and that the beauty of digital art is in that very endlessness, boundlessness, and ability to play even with gravity itself !

Playing with(out) gravity made it so fun to create this piece. It’s like a zero G marble lava lamp, sans lava, but with gold serif 🤓 This one always gets so hypnotizing, and the glass, the glassy glass! Love the glass textures here🤓🤓🤓🤓

Never ever tired of how great Cycles rendering is in @blender.official , should I make a tutorial for this?? 🤓🤓

Ruminated Spaces No.2

Now live on @thecanopyat900 !

Another piece in my exploration of form and space, this time I wanted to create something that looked like a library unfolding, a fourth dimensional object that captivated attention, making viewers wanting to peer deeper into its layers. It’s giving quantum!

Special thanks to @ducky3d for creating the tutorial that led me to this piece. Love the @blender.official community !

Ruminated Space N0.1

The first in a new series of pieces for @thecanopyat900 that are now LIVE! Please go check them out and send me pics :) !

Ruminated Spaces is a series about the thoughts that arise when I practiced releasing the need for meaning and engaged with a play of shape and form. I looked as space as the piece itself, rather than the stage to set a story on. What came up was that Instead of chasing a narrative, I felt called to create a piece where the mind has space to think of its own stories, to fill the gaps and alcoves with its own visions.

This experiment resulted in a series of free flowing stream-of-consciousness creations, engaging with simple shapes and multiplying them into complex actions and linked systems. Every panel became a puzzle, and it fulfilled the pure joy of the creative process behind 3D animation.

Ultimately the child like wonder of discovering new techniques was the driving force behind these pieces, it took me to a deeper rumination on what qualities a piece must have to be compelling, to relax disbelief, to create space rather than fill it, and how to remain playful without being heavy and overbearing.

I really loved working on these and hope you enjoy them too.
