Sunday Voices

It has been a stretch of time now where I take Sunday morning as solitude time.
It has been good. It fills my cup.
Which is very much needed for the mothering and wifing role for the coming weeks.

I go back and forth on the reason why I post.
After many deliberations, I do know that I am not looking for money here. I have Josh to bring in that side of wealth for our family. That is enough.

I look for connection.

Ones that are created organically and magically, like what happened between me and the Woman I respect and love deeply, @thegypseabaker.
It started as a way to learn sourdough from a person that post things that attract me in IG, to a mentorship and friendship that I most cherish. It has been over 4 years that we are connected now and I believe without a doubt that it will be lifetime.
I am so grateful for you, Coach. More than you ever know.

I want to make more. Because, really, for 35 years old nomad woman, how else truly can I make new, real friends. And the power of friendships for self expansion is worth the try. This is fundamentally a selfish endeavor.

I am going to tag souls that have been establishing chat here and there with me because one or more posts that I put out, resonate with you. I hope you do not mind.

No pressure at all on responding, more just like a tap. See if we can continuously hold conversation from spurts of thought that suddenly comes out throughout this day in-day our journey of ours.

I spent this Sunday sauntering about in Prairie Creek trails by one of Red Wood National and State Park visitor center.

Gosh, these old growth, they solemnly shake our state of deep being, aren’t they. Like a alarm reminder “ground. Connect with the vast root system to stay steady.”

Things happens around us and we can be brave and choose to be an anchor. For our kids, our husband, and our self.
Became the channel of connection to the steady earth.

Ladies, you are all in different places and time when reading this words I type.
I hope you sit with peace in your heart and mind today. Remembering to drink enough and eat good things.🤎 I am feeling the new moon energy of setting intent and planning.

We had such a good time at Laura’s Personal Branding session. She was excited and present. We went through many beautiful sets and wardrobe changes, played music and had a cheers. I’ve been thinking of you @thechantress I hope you’re doing well. 🎁

It’s just as important for you, my client to show up in strength and vulnerability to your session. This is not easy, it’s actually work and when you show up authenticity that’s when the magic happens! I will meet you there.

Are you ready??

We went to visit the boondocking area in Badlands, South Dakota. We had planned on staying there, but ended up staying at an RV park in Wall. The scenery was beautiful, the sky was dramatic. This looks like an amazing spot to camp.

Today we rode our bikes to a quiet hidden beach on Assateague Island. The sun was out, the beach was empty, we swam, we buried Farran (which is becoming a family tradition), we found an ex-horseshoe crab, we got cold and covered in sand, we rode back home as the sun set. All in all a wonderful day.

Today was a long day. A very long day. A 10 hour on the road epic travel day. We left New York state this morning and traveled the amazingly scenic 450 mile route to Vermont. The trees were stunning, a veritable rainbow of vivid colors, the mountains and valleys, the rivers and small towns all so inviting to explore.

With 3 little ones in tow it wasn't the easiest of journeys, and I think we'll do our best to avoid that length one-day drive again, but they all did great. Only 2 emergency pee stops, and the "are we nearly there yet" wore off when the answer was always "no, still X-hundred miles".

The bi-weekly travel is starting to feel normal. Packing up the house and moving on. Its a reset button that's built into this lifestyle, and it helps create a rhythm - a time to reflect and course-correct - something that is easily lost in a busy parenting lifestyle.

We arrived late at the campground, greeted by a stunning view of the milky way unhindered by light pollution. Another jaw-dropping sight.
