POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some moments bring life full circle. Today was one of them. 💕

Growing up, I admired the beautiful, talented and trailblazing Jayne Kennedy, just like so many young girls of my generation. We watched her on television, admired her grace and confidence, and saw possibilities for ourselves through her success.

Today, I had the incredible honor of welcoming her to Houston City Hall for a special reception and presenting her with a City of Houston proclamation.

What made this moment especially meaningful was the opportunity to celebrate not just her accomplishments, but the courage it took to achieve them.

Being the first is never easy. It takes extraordinary courage to walk into spaces where doors have historically been closed and the determination to hold those doors open for others.

Jayne Kennedy did just that, breaking barriers in television, sports broadcasting and entertainment, while inspiring generations of women along the way.

And now, through her memoir, Plain Jayne, she is sharing her story in her own words, on her own terms.

Jayne, thank you for inspiring the little girl I once was and for the legacy you continue to build. Who would have imagined that years later, I would have the privilege of honoring you as Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Houston?

From watching history to having the honor of celebrating the woman who made it. What a beautiful full-circle moment! 💚

Congratulations, Jayne Kennedy! Your story continues to inspire. Can’t wait to finish her book. Check out Plain Jayne.

Shout to to Yolonda Chef Yo Henry for the great lunch and hospitality and everyone who played a role in making today extra special.

AI Employee meets the catering/restaurant industry.

Chef Yo reached out to ComfortGrowth AI for help automating some of her processes; her hourly staff were killing her payroll budget doing admin tasks. So we audited her business, created her AI Employee (her name is Grace), and connected Grace to her software stack. Now Grace:

1. Logs into an online portal, reads the day’s order PDFs, pulls the matching recipes, creates production sheets, and emails them to the kitchen/operations chefs
2. Reviews cash balances in QuickBooks and sends Chef Yo an analysis every morning
3. Sits in the email inbox, replies to customer inquiries within 5 minutes with the requested menu, and nurtures leads toward booking
4. Drafts invoices in QuickBooks based on submitted orders
5. Feeds order info, checklists, recipes, dates, and more, into the custom operations software we built for Nuksy’s, so the chefs know exactly what to prepare

Nuksy’s has saved serious time and money, reallocating resources toward revenue-driving activities.

If your business is bogged down by non-revenue-producing, time-consuming, or inefficient processes, DM us to schedule a FREE audit. #businessowner #catering #aiemployee #viralpost

Chapter X: Unmasked ✨

What an unforgettable afternoon celebrating 10 years of SHE IS A CEO.

A room filled with visionaries, leaders, mothers, daughters, and champions for the next generation of girls reminded us why this mission matters so deeply.
For a decade we have been creating CEOs — one girl at a time. And the next chapter is just beginning.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and believed in the power of investing in young girls.

The future is bright. 💫

This weekend I had the honor of celebrating my bestie, Chef Yo, as a Super Top 50 P&E Honoree.

25 years in the hospitality industry!
Not by accident, but by an unwavering standard of excellence. Period!

And when they called her name? I was right at the front of the stage, cheering and snapping pictures. 😂 Recognition earned.

Love you always. I’m so proud of you!❤️

The Gifts From The Ancestors Foodways Project is quickly approaching its 10 year anniversary. I am very appreciated of the family, community & business support I have received. So I thought a milestone reflection was fitting. I’m looking forward to introducing our new presentation “From the Bayou to the Brazos”, that will pay homage to Louisiana Creoles who brought their culture, customs & cuisines to Texas in 1927. You will also get a sneak peak to another project in April. Please visit our website, YouTube channel and subscribe to stay informed.
