And that’s a wrap 🥂

Tag yourself and tag your friends if you came out to support our annual Climate Week Toast.

It was wonderful to bring together leaders in the space at @theclementebar to celebrate the progress being made.

See you next year.

CLEMENTE BAR, NYC

The more I grow into the food-and-dining-as-experiences school of thought, the more I realize that I have so many places in NYC have yet to make it out from my story archives... Starting this series to clean up my camera roll but also share some gems, starting with bars!

Truly I'm of the opinion that there's no other city in the US that comes close to NYC when it comes to sheer density and close proximity of the experiences curated by the cocktail bars here

This bar had the initial allure bearing the Eleven Madison Park name (and also unshockingly hard reservations) but what really stuck with me was the art!! Love the vibe, lighting, coasters (!!) and clarified drinks. Tbh the first time I went here we thought the drinks were aight for such a posh vibe, but going back a second time I really enjoyed the not as photogenic but complex flavored clarified drinks!

Probably due to the bar's closeness with fine dining they also had drink collabs with Jungsik and EMP when we were there which were cool (mad $$$ for cocktails tho). I think the vibe here is great for a girls night out postgame, or cozy lounge post-event debrief 🤭🥂🗽

Stay tuned as I (hopefully) make it through the rest of the series!

🇺🇸 New York • A weekend in New York celebrating two years with the greatest person ever to enter my life. Thank you, B, for making every city feel like home and every day better than the last. Here's to many more anniversaries, and many more adventures together. ❤️

🇺🇸 New York • Clemente Bar, upstairs from Eleven Madison Park in New York, is that rare bar that gets everything right.

It starts with the room. It is gorgeous, wrapped in Francesco Clemente's artwork, and the back bar has no visible bottles or garnishes. Everything is hidden away, so nothing competes with the art or the drink in front of you.
The signatures are outstanding. Caballero is the one I keep thinking about: Teeling Irish whiskey, platano, Amaro Nardini and sarsaparilla, rich and layered without ever turning heavy. The classics get the same care. Ask for a Sazerac and you get a properly made one that doesn't skimp on the booze.

Behind the bar is a stacked team led by Eric Maldonado, and from the kitchen comes world-class Eleven Madison Park food. Order the D.L.T.: EMP roast duck on milk bread with scallion, cilantro and unagi sauce.

What stays with you most is the hospitality. Most of the team will remember your name or your special occasion. In our case it was a second anniversary with Beatrice, and they did not let it pass unnoticed.
